I had an excellent experience building a house with Western Living Homes. They made the process of buying a new home easy and efficient! Angela has been wonderful to work with. She’s very knowledgeable and informative. Robert went above and beyond to help us. He truly wants his customers to receive the best care. I strongly recommend Western Living Homes to anyone who is looking to purchase a home in Edmonton. Thanks for everything, keep up the good work!

We bought a brand new home from them and it has been nothing but a nightmare. They were impossible to reach whenever we needed them. They put cheap seals on the toilets causing two of our three toilets to flood. One lead to mold growing on our ceiling from the ensuite toilet. They came and said oh not a big deal. We will just spray it with bleach and it won't be a problem. Never wanted to further investigate it or even listen to our concerns. Then our washing machine flooded the house but none of the water even went down the drain. We contacted the builder and they put it on us for not asking for a drain pan when we did our walk through. They said they can't put all these extras in the house they build because they have to make money too. Since our whole house flooded we got to see their true handy work on using bowed 2×4's and cutting them all to make them work for the framing job in our kitchen. I would NEVER recommend these builders to anyone. It's been a complete nightmare.

Our new home building \ buying experience….no words can describe how bad it was. We moved in not having water or heat, as Western living trades did a terrible job with our HVAC/plumbing installation. Took months to get anything even remotely resolved.Western living homes cut corners and their trades simply failed to do good work, including their foreman even stating he refuses to fix anything, or refusing to do the repair work. Repeated phrases such as I am sorry, do not fix anything. If we were not on top of them throughout our build, there would have been further delays and issues with our home build\quality. They were slow to respond, sloppy workmanship & zero responsibility. They are Holmes on Holmes certified, but that does not mean much it’s all (it's all endorsements & business $$$).We would wait long periods before we had any form of communication. If you want a builder that cuts corners, misses critical key build components of your home and does not own up to it, then these guys will fit well. How about owning up and doing what is right. We will never recommend them to anyone. Some of the poor workmanship includes crooked, loose hanging structural beams & missing structural components such as footers and load bearing posts. With wlh, it would be the least of your worries.Can you imagine building a house and admitting you missed something structurally, then waiting another 4 months before attempting to fix it, then rushing the repair before possession?!. Shame on you. WLH then did nothing later on to remedy the situation. Their motto is “Building quality custom homes”??…we certainly do not think so. We are at a loss for words. WLH do better, be better, own up to your mistakes, and make it right. You pride yourself on being a family-run business? Well, how about you take care of the families you fail.

I decided to build a home for the first time and I went to several other builders in my city. I was just about to lose hope on the whole thing when I stumbled upon Western living homes. I sent them an email and they replied very quickly so I set up a meeting with them at one of their show homes. The first person I met was the area sales manager Angela. She made sure to give us the best price possible while also accommodating the specific needs and designs that I wanted. Every time I changed my mind about a decision, Angela always responded fast, and was extremely great to work with. Then we started working with Robert for the selection process and It went very well! We made so many changes along the line and he always gave us the best price possible for all our upgrades. He also updated me every week throughout the construction process. I just recently took possession of my home and I'm so in love with how it turned out. I could tell that they put in so much effort into giving me a great house! They were really great to work with and I would 100% recommend them to anyone who wants to build a home!! They did a terrific job with my home!

Just wanted to thank Western Living Home for all the hard work they put together for us in our new home. They always reassured us that they would correct any issue or concern We had and made it a better experience. I think it is natural to have some anxiety as a customer to go thru the building process and they always kept us informed and explained the process well. We love our home and we are happy with our experience with them. Thank you for always taking our call at all hours of the day and thanks for being patient with us as customers. We are truly grateful! We would highly recommend Western Living Home to anyone looking to build a new home. You will be 100% satisfied with your decision!

We just built a home with Western Living. They have done a terrific job and you can tell the quality is there compared to other builders. They have wonderful customer service! If there's a issue they get it fixed immediately. Very happy we built with them! Thank you Western Living for building our dream home! The time line didn't really change either compared to other builders!!

They were the Best Home builder we have worked with, Angela the sales lady was very friendly and responded to texts promptly when we had questions. The QC guy Peter was great, and they sent us updates on the house weekly. The whole Western Living team were great, they allowed us to make some changes to the house so that it met our needs. We had a few minor issues with a couple of suppliers and they stepped in to get them taken care of. We would definitely recommend them to friends and family.

Even though our house was still on the construction, and we are the first-time home buyers, team helped us go stress free when we have no direction and guidance. I had wonderful experience with Angela and Peter. They are helpful, knowledgeable and kind. Angela even helped me to choose appliances. She was always responsive. I am thankful to Angela and Peter & strongly recommend them.My friend is a home builder and he said when he walked in is “Wow, quality construction. What is the builder?”We are truly enjoyed our beautiful home and working with WLH team. I would highly recommend them.

When we went exploring for a builder, to get our home that we wanted to be built, we looked at Western Living Homes. We looked at a more than a handful of new home builders.Western Living Homes, quality of product was far superior than the other home builder's we visited.At the sales office, Mike greeted us warmly, then sat us down. When expressed our wants and wishes in our new home... Such as a professional commercial kitchen, a commercial wet bar in the basement, as well as pro-grade home movie theater under the garage. He was very reassuring that it could be done and what we were asking to be done, wasn't unreasonable.At that time, most Master builders just looked at us like we were strange, had three heads and would quote us an unreasonable price, thinking that we could not afford it.As representation for Western living homes, Mike did his job with sincerity, was non judgmental and had the highest form of professionalism. Earlier, when we brought him drawings of the home, and explained what we wanted in our new house. He was very positive and receptive, and took his time with us. After he received all the information, compiled it and got us the answers that we needed, he was very thorough, which helped us to make decisions on our plans for our new home.With the scope and size of the home build, he had suggested at that time, that we wait, because of the economy and the real estate market was very volatile at that time for what we wanted to do. This way we could save more money in the process. Upon his suggestion, he said, that once the real estate market corrected itself, that he would like to sit down and make our dream home a reality in the future. His insight that he had provided us, proved to be most valuable and would save us a lot of money. At anytime, we didn't feel the pressure to purchase from them. As a matter of fact, we felt valued and appreciated. Better informed an confident.There's a saying that I once heard,..A customer that's not yours today

I have framed a couple of homes now for Western Living Homes as a subtrade with Bauen Construction and have nothing but the best things to say about my experience with them. My crew framed a large single family home as well as a Duplex and the standard of care and quality that was expected and satisfied for the build gave me confidence in them as a builder.The majority of my interaction with WLH as a subtrade was through Derek. I found him to be an exceptional site supervisor and project manager. In my opinion Derek had the perfect balance of competent and present oversight without micromanaging. He clearly was a skilled craftsman himself and the experience he brought as we worked through any questions I had about blue prints or preferred construction methods sharpened my own skills as a tradesman. My questions were always answered in a timely fashion and if I needed his input at the site he was always responsive. I was impressed by his proactive approach and that he was regularly getting my input on how we could make things go smooth and efficient. I never found him to be anything but a true professional.Even when in my haste during one part of the build I broke a window, nothing negative or harsh was said, it was simply another piece of the puzzle that putting a home together smoothly is. The back charge was reasonable and I knew they simply passed their cost of the replacement through to me Which they should have, it was my mistake.You see a persons true colors when things go wrong and the same goes of a team or a company. Friendly, knowledgeable and easy to get along with. I have been nothing but impressed with what I have seen of WLH. Keep up the good work!
