Pets are well taken care of

A couple years ago I had one of my Sphynx Kittens stolen from my home and he was missing for 6 months. He was eventually found at Pickering GO and someone found him and brought him to Pickering Animal Shelter. Where they reached out to me. Abe was at the shelter for approx 24 hrs because I’m in London and had to pick him up the next day. The tool wonderful care of Abe (Jeff) while he was in their care and I can’t thank them as well as the wonderful person who found Abe that day. Thank You so much. UPDATE on Abe (Jeff). He was adopted by an AMAZING family who also has his brother. He is doing AMAZING and is in the very best home and EXACTLY where he was ALWAYS meant to be❤️

Some years ago, I adopted a sweet male Budgie named Bean from this shelter. Sadly Bean died last year, and recently I noticed an ad for another Budgie looking for her forever home. I emailed them and told them about Bean and I was invited to come meet the one that they had there. I named her Stormy and she is quite a little firecracker and fearless too. Thank you so much to Jeff for reaching out to me and I will adopt from this shelter again.

Whoever answers the City line should just transfer the call if it is during work hours. Had to repeat everything all over and then PAS wS no help. Called about the poor goose's leg caught with rope around it. Cant animal services use a large blanket, treats to bribe it to come near or a huge fish net to go o er its head????

Thank you to Truck 801 who immediately responded to our call to assist a struggling old squirrel in our driveway. The animal was picked up with care and compassion. We appreciate public services as such. More power to you.

Amazing facility nothing but positive to share. We adopted our last dog Kiva from them and he brought us years of joy. Jeff in adoptions is very kind and open about the animals in their care and as such is clearly looking out for the animals best interests in getting adopted by the right family for them.

Amazing staff! They have such a love for animals! We adopted our kitty from here and are loving having her in our family. Thank you for all you do for our furry friends!
