Verandah Cafe is adorable—free parking, great view, nice decor and friendly staff. The coffee was good.Unfortunately, I had to give fewer stars though because the avocado toast was abismal. I asked the server what was on the avocado toast and she said it was avocado with broccoli and scrambled eggs on the side.What it actually was: dry broccoli slaw from a bag dumped on top of light layer of smashed avocado save scrambled eggs on the side. No presentation, no seasoning on the avocado or anything even remotely fancy. This was $18!!Definitely worth checking out the cafe, just don’t order the avocado toast.

We went for a coffee and snack and they don’t know the difference between a latte and a cappuccino. Also I ordered a almond croissant and it was stale and sliced in half with nutella all inside of it. I was not expecting that at all! My husband’s scone was okay. $22 for two pastries and two coffees. Pretty place, but empty inside.

The price on the menu here is changed. The price went up about 50% from the menu here on google and the meal portion was small. But if you just grab a coffee and reading a book there. I believe it would be an enjoyment because the environment and location. Staff was really nice. But no idea what’s going on with the meal, the scrambled egg was unbelievable salty and not just for one meal at our table. Stars for service and location.

My daughter and I went here for brunch last week. I had passed by many times but never stopped in. It is small and cozy with very friendly staff. We both chose the Avocado Toast with gluten free bread and Scrambled eggs as well as Chai latte with almond milk. The meal portion was quite generous and delicious. They also have an inviting dessert counter with home-made items including vegan and gluten free choices. As well, it has an incredible view of the water. Will definitely go back!

This was gorgeous. Definitely hidden gem status. The view overlooks the waterfront, with a beautiful kind of vintage-fusion interior, lots of light, and delicious flavours. The owners said its only been open a few months, so I don't think the community has discovered how amazing this place is yet! I was just passing through the area and didn't have time to try many menu items, but they all sounded so good, and the tea and pastry I tried were delicious - not too sweet, with delicate but unmistakeable fruit and spice flavours. Free parking is a definite plus, and it's a bit tucked away because it faces the water, not the street. You enter from the front off of the parking lot, go down a hallway, and turn left to get in. Will definitely stop if I'm in the area again.

Cafe is cute and dainty. The pakoras were good. I ordered the falafel sandwich and it was too spicy- I couldn’t actually taste the food because I had to stop eating. Most of the other reviews are quite positive so I am going to assume this was a one off. I would ask the server about spice levels while ordering.

Paid $12 for 2 iced vanilla lattes to take away (which were terrible and we didn't finish). The cafe was empty, there was no one there except for myself. While standing at the till I noticed there was a restroom, and after ordering I politely asked if I might use it. I was 8 months pregnant at the time and saw an opportunity. The person serving me refused, saying it's for paying customers only. I questioned her, asking how ordering 2 lattes doesn't make me a paying customer. She still refused and said it's only for people who sit in. This seems very arbitrary. If I took my drinks and sat down at a table would that have made a difference? Now you have a bathroom AND a table to clean. Smart. I'll never go back and I'll never recommend it. I guess it was dead in there for a reason.

Lovely place, very different from other normal cafes in white rock / Surrey. European decor. Marsala Chai latter was good n waffle, u can order a single one which is really good idea as usually I can’t finish 2 of them. Free parking available just next to the place.

Best hidden gem in white rock where the locals all go. Tucked away in the building next to the WAG with amazing unobstructed views of the ocean.Easy (free) parking in front or inexpensive parking on the street.Amazing decor, friendly and accommodating staff. The owners been onsite each day I've been, so you can rest assure they take pride in their services and attention to detail. Very homely vibe, keep up the amazing work!
