I recently had a service at Barnes Memorial and it was very lovely. They accommodated to everything I wanted. Very professional and polite as I went through the hardest time of my life. They were patient and answered any questions throughout the process. The speaker Phil is wonderful and I had the pleasure of Rick the owner helping me through the whole process. Phil wove together a compassionate and articulate eulogy overnight that impressed all of us. Our requests to personalize the service were granted. The room was comfortable and well decorated. Second time using the Barnes Funeral Home as my Mom recently passed away. After our meeting with Rick Barnes it was very clear to myself and the rest of my family that this was the place we wanted to use for our Mother's funeral. We made some decisions then.....but ended up changing a few things last minute. Barnes Funeral Home and it's staff changed tracks right along with us and this was done seamlessly and effortlessly. From the flowers on Mom's casket (Which were absolutely stunning) to the last little detail including putting out Memory Cards for us, everything was taken care of. All we had to do was show up and greet our loved ones. Phil Smith (The In-House Celibrant) was fantastic and people asked if he was a family friend as he seemed to know Mom so well! Rick Barnes and his amazing staff helped up through the entire process of loss, mourning and most important....celebrating our Mom's life with the dignity she deserved!! The service, compassion and attention to detail truly honoured my Mother! Barnes is a First Class operation and I would highly recommend them to anyone in need of their services.
