The Wilds Resort at Salmonier River

We drove the Irish Loop and stopped in for lunch, had a pizza. Amazing! Crust, sauce and toppings were soooooo good! Thank you for the quick and friendly service as well!

Staff are great. Course is in excellent condition. I didn't give 5 stars because I feel the rough is too long for a public course making it very difficult to find your ball if it's just off the fairway. If you miss your shot at all, it's gone. Very unforgiving course. Bring extra balls.

Beautiful scenery with a river running right next to the chalet.....and a hot tub to boot! The location is off the beaten path but it's well worth the trip. The facility is modern and well kept with very attentive and knowledgeable staff. A great place for a group meeting or a quiet getaway!

My friends, little ones and I visited this place last weekend and we had such an amazing time.The place is spectacular, beautiful and serene.The food was amazing, with excellent staff.The views are to die for, with the golf course just a stone throw away.My son forgot his phone at the fireplace and we dint realise until we got home that night. By the next morning, they had found the phone and notified me and I went picked it up.I highly recommend this place to any age groupGood for large gatherings as well, like parties, meetings, and weddings,

Stayed there for a wedding over the summer. The wedding venue appeared new and was beautiful. Great accessibility for those with mobility issues. The meal was great, service was friendly. Beautiful grounds and backdrop for photos.The hotel on the other hand.. not at all worth the price. The walls are paper thin. You can hear conversations in the room next door, and can also hear the creaky elevator if you stay in the rooms near them. The lights in the hallway are motion censored and only detect movement when you stand at the elevator. If you have a room near the end of the hall make sure you bring a flashlight if you need to leave your room after dark (a mistake we made). We had to stumble down the hall in the dark the whole way until we reached the elevator and the light came on. The beds would have been comfortable if they weren't on such a slope. Our bed had a high point in the middle causing each of us to roll away from the centre towards the edge during our sleep. Other guests we were speaking with complained of the same thing, as well as some beds having broken legs.The Chalet where the bride stayed was nice, but again, not worth the price. The inside of the dishwasher was stained brown, there were holes in places. The chalet had a broken coffee pot, another one was supplied by staff once notified however the replacement was also broken. Once notified of the second broken coffee pot the staff had no solution and said that's all we can do."If you're staying here for any more than 1 night

A great stopping point on the Irish Loop. Clean and comfortable. Quiet spot off the main road. Hotel rooms, cottages and a camping area. You don't need to golf to stay there.Pet friendly as well.

We spent 2 days here for a wedding July 2022. We did not golf so I cannot make a comment on the golf, greens etc. I can comment on the accommodations. As I said we were there for a wedding. T he rooms didn't have full length mirrors, (you know getting ready for a wedding or meeting you would like to check out your outfit) no iron/ironing board, no telephone, curtains were hanging off the wall, no door knobs on bathroom vanity. every time another room door opened our door would shake, air conditioner did not work. Now that is ok if it considered a 1-2 star hotel but this is a resort and the price reflects that. Would not recommend this place for anything other than golf.

I've been here as a guest and as a wedding vendor. While I'm not a golfer, family who are have assured me the course is beautiful!The rooms are always clean and spacious, the pool is a great perk and the service is on point!The new event space is a major upgrade from tent of years past and really sets the stage for any kind of event!

The golf was an absolute, catch some good weather and your golden. Hint* Driver is not always required, play smart.

5 stars is not sufficient. The staff at The Wilds constantly go above and beyond. I have stayed there a few times now for conferences and can't praise them up enough for their willingness to accommodate. To say the meals were delicious would be an understatement and my rooms have always been spotless. Top notch crew!
