Lorraine is an artist who uses plants as her medium. In the space of a week, she and her crew transformed my front yard from grass and dirt to an oasis of colour and texture that immediately became home to hummingbirds, bees and butterflies. Although I wasn’t clear on exactly what I wanted for this space, Lorraine took the time to ask questions and listen carefully and was able to create the garden that I didn’t know I had been wishing for! I appreciated her attention to detail, willingness to work within my budget, and professionalism. I am also in awe of her to ability to name every plant imaginable – in latin, no less. Lorraine is a truly gifted landscaper; I highly recommend her services.

Lorraine created a beautiful landscape design taking all my wishes into consideration. She is extremely knowledgeable on plants and landscaping and goes above and beyond to ensure the customer is happy and the work is top quality. My back yard was a large project with electrical, stone work, cement work and wood screening in addition to several plantings. She communicated with me every step of the way. We have an old, modest-sized house and recently needed to re-do our small front yard after having our perimeter drain tiles replaced. We decided to seek professional design advice, which we’ve never done for past projects, as we wanted everything done correctly (e.g. proper ground preparation and levelling for installation of low brick garden wall, pathway, driveway). I was initially worried that a professional landscape designer may not be able to work within our modest budget and accommodate our needs. This was not at all the case with Urban Habitats Landscape Studio. After providing us with an initial design that included everything we’d asked for, but would have cost more than we wished to spend, Lorraine made some great suggestions, and was extremely flexible, accommodating and respectful in making modifications to keep the costs within our budget. The quality of workmanship in the hardscaping installed by Cam exceeded our expectations. The shrubs and ground cover in the planted areas are perfect. Couldn’t be happier with the final results!
