Unfortunately current negative reviews of this place are accurate. Covid has allowed management to exercise excessive restriction such as not allowing visitation (apr. 2022) of residents. Even close family members, a child or spouse may have their visitation restricted to a certain day or time of the week. The availability of items like coffee or tea for the residents are controlled. It is clean and everything but it is an unpleasant and unhappy place for residents and their families.

My aunty spent her last days here. And the service is awsome! Monica did a great job. My aunty was happy and never complain, and staffs are absolutely amazing! I recommend this place.

I have heard this carehome is up for sale. I pray the new owners have kindness and compassion for not just the residents but the families that need to put their loved ones their care.Monica raised her voice threw her hands in the air the 1st time we met. All because I was there to take my mother out for a walk and lunch with a family member from B.C.When I took my moms great grandchildren there to pick her up to go for a walks and a picnics I was told. I don't know why you waste your time. She doesn't even remember them

The licencee is a demanding horrible person. Care? questionable. Chose to as she put it diaper up" my dad at night as she would save her self money on staff by staying in the home alone in the evening and did not want to get up to take him to the washroom even though he was quite capable with some assistance. She threatened to throw my dad out of the facility every time he either became difficult OR we challenged her demands. Would NOT recommend this place unless Monica is no longer in charge."

I have visited my mother is this care home weekly for almost two years. Not only is it a clean and beautiful place, but it is designed as a home. The residents gather in the living room and dining room as families do, but each has their airy and nicely decorated room with private bathroom to retreat to. There is an atmosphere of peace and calm. The food is homemade and prepared in the kitchen so it is healthy (e.g., lots of salad and limited caffeine like salt and coffee which adds to high blood pressure). The staff are extremely attentive. The residents are treated as individuals. Monica runs a tight ship, but that is what gives this place a high standard. I have visited many care homes, public and private, and even the big fancy ones do not have the warmth of this home.

Our mother was only at Gardiner Point Care Home for less than a year. During her time there, she received excellent care. Moving into the home during Covid was a challenging time for Monica, her staff, the residents and their families. They maintain high goals and achieved them by remaining Covid free while still accommodating families with updates and visits. The home was always spotless and the staff was always friendly and focused on the residents needs. Even in her last days Monica, her staff and the residents were very accommodating to our large family. I would definitely recommend this home for your loved ones.

My old friend is living here for 2 years. He is very healthy and enjoys his life to stay here. He ate well and likes to play the game called racket balloon. Good place to live for the retirement.

My experience working here is very good. The house is clean and tidy. There is a wide variety of healthy food, homemade. Monica makes a good effort to account for the resident's requests.

My mom was a client in this home. My experience was really good. She never complain of anything. I was happy to see my mom happy. She stayed for 2 years and she never complain not even one day. She was herself and happy. I will highly recommend this home if you are looking for one.

This Care Home used to be amazing before the current manager (Monica) took over the day to day care 2 years ago. If you are considering this Care Home please run far away! Monica treats her residents with no respect. The staff are afraid of her. Resident’s are force fed, confined to wheelchairs, diapered against their will, the list goes on and on. Yes, the home looks lovely and clean and Monica will promise your loved one will be well taken care of, but she is extremely manipulative. Do NOT trust her. There are other Care Homes out there that will treat your loved one with the love, respect, care and dignity they so truly deserve. This home is definitely NOT one of those.
