I have been using my Pentex Expressions Journal for about a week now and I'm very happy with it. The leather and paper quality are highly desirable which is complemented by a smooth writing twist pen which acts as fastener when used with the pen loop. I love 95% about this note taking system. The only thing that is keeping this from becoming a 5 star in my mind is that the pen loop in the front center of the cover becomes a bump that makes my writing surface uneven when I am using the pages on the journal that flip open to the left. It's something that I have work around with when I am writing in it. However, this minor inconvenience is greatly overshadowed by the fact that it's both very easy to carry around and very stylish.
