Valley Stove & Cycle

I had to write to a review applauding the services of David Graves (VSC's Head Mechanic). David truly went above and beyond in not only doing an excellent job when servicing my bike but proving to recognize important work that should be addressed to ensure my bike rides (and feels) the best it can. David's expertise went above and beyond my expectations. He approached the service and treated my bike like it was his own. Awesome. Absolutely awesome.

This shop disappoints for customer service on both stoves and bikes. Was told re a BBQ I was interested in that they sold to basically do my own research and figure it out. Zero product knowledge or effort. Ended up going elsewhere where my questions could be answered. Then called with a question about adapter for bike rack that they sold. Again told me to do my own research and wouldn’t help me troubleshoot which part I needed. Third time came in with a bent derailleur hanger I got on my way to the store to do some further research on rack adapter and asked for a tool to straighten to help me get home. Same guy as before told me there was no such tool in a very dismissive manner and it was just a wrench and walked away. Eventually the mech corrected him and fixed it with the tool though charged me $23 for literally 2 mins of work (I get that work is work but this super minor job should have definitely been a freebie in the interests of customer service and relationship if you ask me).Very poor attitude and terrible customer service here. They got $23 out of me but I won’t be back.

They helped size a bike for my son, even though I told them I had no way to transport the bike to where I live, and could not buy it from them.

Fantastic store with super friendly and helpful staff. Jan helped me pick out a bike that totally fit my requirements and gave me great advice and ideas for future items to complement my purchase. If you are looking for a bike or any accessories then you should absolutely check them out.

Great service. I had replaced my stove door seal with a DIY one from kent. I lived with it for a season but knew it wasn't doing a good job. I could not get the nice slow burn, glass would not stay clean.I brought my stove door into Valley Stove and Cycle. They replaced the seal around the glass as well as the one around the door. Brought it home, left it to cure for 24h as directed.Now my stove has a beautiful slow burn, glass stays clean, its like I have a brand new stove! I would highly recommend this service to anyone with an older wood stove.

Have dealt with this shop for many years and was very satisfied until Covid hit. Ordered a Gazelle bike from them last March (now late November). No attempt to give me updates (despite a $600.00 deposit) . I like to support local business and realize that current supply issues have caused major long term delays. However, it wouldn’t take much effort to communicate in some form over an eight month period. Looks like instead of ‘the customer is always right’ their motto is ‘the customer is always ignored.’FAIL

We rented bikes and did the Harvest Moon trail. The bikes were very comfortable and at reasonable price. The owner was very friendly and we really enjoyed the day thanks to this business.

I enjoyed my visit to Valley Stove and Cycle. The staff were very knowledgeable and pleasant. Bill was so helpful and found the right tires for my e-bike so that I could cycle on the Harvest Moon Trailway. Thank you.
