Went to this place to have some veg food and ordered 4 dosas and uthappam. Told them to spread the masala in all dosas. Firt they got it wrong. We got separate masala. The two servers corrected each other about our order right in front of us instead of apologising to us. Later on when server got us spread masala dosas. We got 3 at once and I had to wait for my dosa for whole 15 mins. By the time I got the dosa, rest of my group had already had their food. I could see people who arrived later on get their whole order first and here I was kept waiting. It was mood killing. Food was good but service is the major thing, which ruined my mood.

Nice ambiance and great food. I had “ ONION RAVA KARA MASALA” and “MYSORE MASALA DOSA”.I liked Onion Rava Kara Masala dosa more.Staff was friendly, thanks to amazing our server, Khushdeep Kaur.

The 1 star rating was from my previous visit 4 years ago, after which I came back a few days ago to a better place. Had a decent overall experience. We had the buffet, and the service, sure has improved. The staff checked on us throughout the meal. The ambience is quite good. There is quite a good choice of vegetarian items. The food was okay, couldn't say great. They sure have tried to make it a South indian inspired dining experience, but the authenticity fell a little short. Biriyani was excellent. Poori had too much oil, and the dosa was not crispy. There were some unclean plates ( not properly washed) among the clean plates. The rate for kids is quite high. Around $14+ for kids 5-8 or so, but for kids above 8, it is the full price, which to me, doesn't seem reasonable. For adults, it is decent pricing. Overall, the place is good to visit once in a while. I hope to visit again

The whole experience was awesome. The best thing is that they are 100% vegetarian ❤️Went there for buffet. Must say they have got the authentic South Indian taste. Much love for the servers, too. So sweet and welcoming they are. Absolutely recommended ❤️

18th February 2023 - Saturday - BUFFET CAD $16 - Pure Veg RestaurantThis is the right place for all south indian food lovers. It is worth spending every penny who is missing home food and south-Indian breakfast. We went on a weekend for lunch around 12.30pm. Only a buffet option was available. Buffet contains everything from instant sweets to breakfast and rice curries. Dosas and puris are served on the table freshly. Other than the food in the buffet everything is charged separately. We ordered filter coffee but we didn't like it because the milk is not thick enough. So we didn't feel the taste of Chennai's filter coffee. That was the only dissatisfaction. Rest everything is great here. The attention of the staff, they keep checking the needs and responding quickly.

Pinnacle of south indian food. I have tried many south indian restaurants all over Canada but two things stood out to me one is the food quality compared to other restaurants and the ambience and the well decorated interior you walk in and get a premium feel. Staff were nice and corteous. Food quality is exceptional. Ample washroom and parking. Over all highly recommended. Check out the images and follow for more reviews.

The WORST podi idli I have ever had & adding to the woes it was $11.50!!! There was whole pieces of dal that hurt my teeth. The tarka was not good. Chutney was spoilt. Quantity was very very less. Better order the big idlis that come with everything & is cheaper.Bad service, kids running here & there . Portion size is less. Portion size change too & consistency is not maintained. My coconut chutney had pieces of green dal in it like someone used a dirty spoon to put chutney. In to go orders they give very less sambhar. After 8:30 pm their chutney start tasting sour & bad . I would only dine in & have dosa only from here - nothing else. There are other south Indian places- this place is too hyped up.Adding in that my order was to go & I had to wait 20 minutes for one item that was podi idli. I'm from out of state so I can't come here again. They should try to maintain consistency in done in & to go orders & explain wait time to customers when they put in an order.

As the brand name goes in India, we went Saravana Bhawan with with high hopes. It didn’t disappoint us, but we still were not content even though we had the buffet and tried each variety of south indian food. Different rice flavors, idli, variety of sambers, sweets etc. It was decent. Dosa was served on the table which was okay but Dosas were not crispy. They were oily and we didn’t like them. We didn’t know that coffee was included with the buffet but no one came to refill as the cups are so tiny, that dwarf coffee was not enough for us.Tables are way too close to each other, hence there were three whiny-yelling kids that kept hauling at the top of their lungs and neither their parents nor servers came to ask them to keep quiet. This was quite an uncomfortable ambience experience. Toilets were clean and decent. Overall a decent lunch experience but it is only 70% to what Indian Saravana bhawan is in India. Meaning a lot of scope for improvement in food and ambiance.
