PODS Moving & Storage

We recently used PODS services and dealt with the local office at 555 69th Avenue SE, Calgary, Alberta. From start to finish, the service we received was seamless. POD arrived when scheduled. Fit all the items we needed to store and was picked up when scheduled. Online changes to pickup and delivery were super easy. We would use this system again and would highly recommend it! Special shout out to Glenn, Paul, James, Rick and Alok for making this process so easy. Thanks fellas!

This company is a joke. If your respect your time, money and need a convenience, go somewhere else.My stuff is in a container in their storage. I requested container delivery on June 9th and until now it hasn’t even left the storage. Follow up on June 26th. Filed a complaint through customer service and was supposed to receive a call. After more than a week, no one called, reached to them again to hear that there is no record of my complaint or call request. Requested one more, still nothing. And all this time, container hasn't moved an inch.They are super nice when you place an order though but that's where their service ends.Starting a legal action against this company. Will keep you posted.

Ordering the pod online and having a storage pod delivered and moved super convenient. But not super happy they are not up front with the pricing. When I made the pod order I put in all the information moving from this location to this one needing storage for a period of time. It was not clear the amount they quoted was not going to be the total amount. Cost ended up being significant higher then expected.

Glenn, Ricky, and Alok were prompt and helpful in getting my shipment to my driveway as quickly as possible once it arrived in Calgary. After an international move, I was eager to get it done and they were able to pick up the empty container the very next day. They were mindful of my lawn and placing the container in the way I had asked. Every PODS staff member I interacted with through the process was professional and pleasant. PODS was helpful with step by step instructions for an complicated international move and customs requirements. The only thing I'd improve is the amount of time it took my shipment to make it across the border.

The delivery driver was super short with us, and not friendly. And they charge you for the pod monthly even if you schedule a pick up 2 days into the month, they do not prorate- just a warning!Also came here to add: I was charged a non paved ground fee, that was never disclosed in any contracts I signed. They charged the fee without informing me. I will be disputing these charges. Honestly STAY FAR AWAY!

PODs moving in Calgary went above and beyond to help re-deliver and pick up my PODs container as quickly and helpfully as possible after it arrived later than I expected in Canada. The drivers Ricky and Alok managed a recent snowstorm well in getting the container onto and off my driveway, and Glen was super helpful in coordinating a tight turnaround so that I won’t be charged for extra time. I appreciate the kind agents I spoke to throughout my process and overall it made my move from the US to Canada less stressful than expected.I thankfully didn’t need my contents immediately, but the only caution I would give to anyone using PODS for cross-border moves is to be aware that it could take a bit more time than the quoted 2-3 weeks and you could get charged for an extra months rental and insurance of your pod if that time surpasses your initial month. I am grateful to the local agents I worked with who did their best to help me avoid any additional charges for the time that was out of my control.

Ricky B. came with our POD and talked through our options on dropping it in a difficult location. His skill matched only by his high level of professionalism allowed us to easily navigate the area and empty our 16ft container in no time. We highly recommend PODS to anyone looking to move, be it a house or apartment or anything in between.

Just had a pod deliverd by Alok of the Calgary office. Our spot was small and very tight to get into. What a great job he did handeling that machine. His customer service to us and our neighbours as he put it in place was excellent, absolutly top notch. I hope he is the driver that pickes up the Pod after we are done.

The guys working at this location were awesome! Didn't get the POD delivered as the condo board was being difficult at the condo. Setup a time to pickup the items from the location and the POD was waiting there with my name on itWas having trouble with my key and they took care of that right away and let me keep a dolly there for the afternoon as my Uhaul was full.Seems like this place gets bad reviews based on pricing and timing. But dont let that reflect on this location.

So happy with pods. Sadly this review is many months late, but i will definitely use them again. They, unlike other container storage companies treat your unit with a great deal of care - no damage and the unit was never “tossed around”. Our driver “Alok” was amazing at how much care he took in placing our bin. I highly recommend this company!
