Hi Folks, my name is Fraser and I'd like to share some of my family's experience with Home Instead and their staff. We found ourselves in a rather urgent situation with my father, who suffers from dementia. With one phone call and a couple of emails, I was able to arrange for a Caregiver to be with my dad within two days of contacting Home Instead. This addressed our immediate concerns regarding my dad's wellbeing, and that of others, which was critical in our case. Once the Caregivers were on site with my dad, his behavior issues were overcome with communication, compassion and caring. My dad started referring to his Caregiver as his co-worker during the daily visits, which was a nice way to think of my dad's day. The interaction of the Caregivers that spent time with my dad every day, along with the staff at Credit River Retirement, made my dad's time much more enjoyable and engaging for him, which was our goal.Home Instead were extremely helpful at a critical time, and their response was a huge relief for our family. Connie and the team at Home Instead have been absolutely fantastic in helping my family deal with a crisis that required several weeks of 24/7 care to be deployed at a moment's notice. The caregivers were excellent and Connie provided invaluable advice and feedback in helping us navigate the public/private care options available to us. Home Instead has become a trusted partner for us, and we will definitely use them again in the future!

My family can't express enough good things about the support and help we've received from Home Instead in caring for our Mother. Mum is 82 with dementia. Sona, our caregiver that comes is amazing. She always goes above and beyond. She's compassionate, kind, and patient with my Mum. She's been a God send to us. We would not hesitate in recommending this company to anyone in need of help.

My mother receives excellent care from Karen, which includes driving her for errands, housekeeping and companionship. Karen has developed an excellent rapport and level of trust with my mother. The office staff, Aliyah and Connie, have also been a pleasure to work with and have provided us with personalized care plans when needed. I highly recommend Home Instead.

The quality of care, service and professionalism from everyone at Home Instead is excellent! My Mum’s care giver, Bogusia is amazing. She really engages with my mum is extremely thoughtful. When my Mum told her that she liked Neil Diamond she played his music on her phone for Mum. So thoughtful. The coordination staff are also fantastic to deal with. I highly recommend Home Instead.

We have only the best things to say about Home Instead and the way they went above and beyond to take care of our Mom.Our companion Miriam was truly a gift! She learned about Mom and what she enjoyed, and then ensured her findings were incorporated into Mom’s daily routine. She cooked and shopped for Mom, played games, sang songs and went for walks. She even attended medical and hair appointments.On several occasions Mom had to go to emergency and Miriam waited with her for hours. Sometimes she worked a double shift without even being asked. She is truly a treasure and we will be forever grateful to her and to Home Instead for all their compassion, help and support.If you’re looking for home care for your parent or spouse we highly recommend this company!

Home Instead has been amazing to work with during a most difficult time. We used Home Instead to help care for my husband with ALS. Connie, Lubna and the whole team worked so hard to find the right caregivers for my husband. The caregivers were amazing, kind and patient as well as friendly and comforting to me and the kids. Connie and the team have been fantastic caring for my brother-in-law who passed away just this month (January 2023). He sorely missed his wife since her passing in May 2020 and spent many days in hospital. At Amica City Center he was receiving excellent care but we needed more hours. Based on referral from other family members, I contacted Home Instead. So glad I did, and we arranged 24/7 care.Home Instead provided excellent day and night shift Care Givers who came to know and care for him. They were there whenever he needed support, helping with his meals, taking him to resident activities, etc. They also worked well with Amica City Centre nurses and PSWs, plus the Home and Community Care Support Services - Mississauga Halton.The office staff, Navdeep and her coworkers always kept me up to date when shift changes were needed. Every Care Giver from Home Instead provided excellent care and knew when to call for nursing support and when to call me. I always got excellent updates either on visits or by phone.It was very busy with the comings and goings of other care providers from Amica City Centre, the Palliative team, deliveries of medication, and it was so helpful to me as prime family contact to know that medical supplies, meals and laundry were handled.Darshika, Sandeep, Shaifali and especially Lovepreet deserve commendation for caring for my broker-in-law over the three months he was in their care and especially when he finally was able to join his beloved ‘beautiful wife’, my sister!

My family has been very happy with the caregivers from Home Instead. The ladies who take care of our elderly mother / grandmother have been fabulous. They are patient, attentive and do their best to engage our mother when they are caring for her. The caregivers are always on time. The service coordinators have been attentive and usually respond to our requests for changes in a reasonable period of time. My family is eternally grateful for the exceptional care provided by Home Instead. Thank you so much!
