UPDATE: we asked for help with our pool issue and the guys went above and beyond our expectations to help us out and to make sure we were as happy as could be with our pool and hot tub. For a concrete pool repair, I looked for approximately 2 years to find someone who knew what they were talking about. This company is knowledgeable, reliable, personable, great value and stands behind their work. We had a difficult old concrete pool that was cracking and falling apart. Chris identified everything that had to be done the first time out and he and Roger created a masterpiece that we are now very proud of. I would hire these guys for anything because you can trust them and they care.

I could not be happier with the final result. For 15 years I had been doing my own maintenance work on the tiles and coping. Finally the maintenance became larger that I wanted to tackle. During this time, I periodically searched for people who really knew concrete pools in the region with out a lot of success. Twice I had other companies out and it was clear they did not know concrete pools or just wanted to do a quick short-term cosmetic repair. Finally, I found Chris and Roger and right from the start it was obvious these guys really knew what they were talking about. It was a large project that included beam and plaster repair, new tiles and stamped concrete coping/decking. In addition, the pool equipment was moved requiring moving gas, electrical and water (added a second line for efficiency and redundancy). Throughout the process they explained everything and the rational for decisions we took. Watching the work progress, I considered them more craftsman than contractors who take a lot of pride in doing things right and not the fastest way possible. The end result looks amazing and the bones of the pool should keep it that way for years to come.

I'm grateful for having been referred to Royal Pools and Spas. Roger came to assist with issues I was having with my pool pump, which he quickly resolved. We had been looking to have our concrete pool repaired for the last couple of years (was installed around 1974). We had a slight leak in one of the pipes, damaged coping and beam, and cracks that were starting to form. Chris and Roger were the first contractors we spoke with who were crystal clear on the process that they use, the work that would be required and the timeline that they would need to complete the work. They brought us to a current customers worksite to see what the work they would be doing would look like.They are extremely customer focused, kept us up to date throughout the process on the work being done and decisions that we needed to make. They also did an incredible job keeping the workspace as clean as possible while doing a major renovation so that we could still sit out in our backyard.We love the new pool!!I would highly recommend the Royal Pools and Hot Tubs team for all of your pool needs.

We have been extremely satisfied with our service from Rodger as new hot tub owners. There is a steep learning curve with an in ground set up like this and Rodger knows it like the back of his hand. He is always willing to answer questions and has saved our hot tub on multiple occasions. He obviously works around the clock to give amazing friendly service to his customers and we are very grateful.

I purchased my Bullfrog hot tub less than three years ago from Mermaid Spas in Ottawa, which turned out to be a great disappointment. I quickly lost faith in their customer service, when I began experiencing problems with different components of my hot tub. By calling various businesses who deal in hot tub repair, I was very lucky to be put in touch with Roger at Royal Pools & Hot Tubs. He is a qualified Bullfrog maintenance technician, and clearly very knowledgeable in all aspects of pools and spas. His pricing is fair, and he is very efficient at getting the job done. I have also learned a lot about maintaining my spa, through his patience and detailed explanations. When I am in the market for a new pool or spa, there is nowhere else I will go! I've used Royal Pools and Hot Tubs to close my hot tub multiple times. Every time they have been excellent. Rogers' knowledge about hot tubs and willingness to pass on what he's learned from many years in the business is great! I've learned so much about the care of my hot tub and he's even given me tips and tricks to make my life easier.

I am very impressed with the courteous and honest service I received for our Hot tub today. I appreciated how Roger arrived on time, took the time to assess the problem, provided an honest opinion while allowing me to make a decision on how to best proceed. Our 44 year old concrete pool needed some help. The finished top coat of marble-lite around the walls of the pool had water infiltration and the skimmer section had cracked as well. Chris identified these issues on his initial visit and also identified the cause of these problems. He was articulate, professional and friendly. He was sympathetic as well, as the news he delivered was difficult. Once we recovered from the shock of the news, we secured their services. Their agreement to take on the contract was conditional on us correcting existing drainage issues first. Chris did not want to do the work on the pool only to have the issues repeat because the underlying cause was not corrected. That would lead to disappointment for everyone. This attitude was critical in our decision to choose Royal Pools. The satisfaction of us as customers was important to Chris and Roger and their work alone would not be enough to guarantee the result.My husband did the excavation and drainage remediation work and sent pictures of the work to Chris as he wanted to ensure that the efforts would be successful. We passed!Chris and Roger showed up to do the work in late November of 2020 as promised. With heaters and a steady supply of hot coffee, they worked like dogs for 3 weeks to breath new life into our cement pond. They kept us informed of the process throughout. Chris and Roger both have exceptional communication skills. When all was done we had beautiful, white-painted pool with new tile at the top edge and a working skimmer. Chris replumbed the pump and sand filter to make it much more efficient and clean looking. We could not have been happier.Roger visited in 2021 to help with our chemical adjustment and Chris visited this year to find an air leak responsible for a non-operative system. The customer service is beyond anything in any business I have ever dealt with.We have plans for a hot tub in the future (maybe 2023) and there is not even a question as to who we will get to set us up. We trust them completely.
