The buying process is absolutely painful as Westbank keeps delaying the Horseshoe Bay project, while asking the buyers to be ready with one week’s notice to arrange all financing. This has been going on since 2020, meaning I have had to have a large amount of money standing by, while continuing to renew my mortgage application (three times already). “We don’t know when but you need to be ready now or else” is what I have been getting since 2020. Absolutely atrocious. Oh, meanwhile I keep getting junk emails from Westbank trying to sell me more properties. A company that relies on heavy advertising rather than customer relation to sell its properties will not survive long.

My sister just moved into her condo at Kensington Garden. It was nowhere near move in ready. Even the things that were noted in her walk through were not fixed up by closing. Her parking fob also didn’t work so when she asked the concierge to get a new one they said she couldn’t. When she asked them to fix everything (which should not need fixing if it’s a brand new condo), they said take photos and submit them via the online portal. For a “luxury” developer they have bush league customer service and clearly are paying for cheap labour / cutting costs.I for one will never recommend a Westbank project to anyone let alone buy one myself in the future.

Resident of The Lauren here. Perpetually broken elevators for the majority of the late spring and early summer. Non-existent building managers as they can't haven't hired anyone physical.Paying market-price downtown rent for a less-than-market quality experience.

Their oakridge project and exhibition centre are absolutely gorgeous - too bad it's closing in late December and I'm so looking forward to the new exhibition next year! The company is making the utmost efforts to contribute to the environment and the city skyline. Amazing work and team!

Their warranty team is absolutely absurd! I have been trying to get my faucet fixed for over four months. The contractor/warranty team didn't show up for their scheduled appointments. I called them last week for another scheduled appointment, was promised to receive e-mail notification from the warranty team by Monday, no e-mail was received throughout the week. I called them everyday this week, either go straight to the voicemail, or unable to talk to the representative of the warranty team. You can tell that they have no intentions to fulfill their responsibility by fixing the deficiencies in the units under the warranty terms. Think twice before purchasing units from them. You will have nightmares trying to communicate with the warranty team!!!

If they could legally build homes out of playing cards and matchbooks, they would. Not that building legally is a concern for them; Ian Gillespie is so connected that he can simply shake hands, give favours, or pay people off to forget about each building's binders of deficiencies they see upon completion and never address. This is simply a marketing company vainly disguising itself as a developer.Beyond that, I've had a Westbank repair man enter my home one day without an appointment or 24 hours notice. I contacted Westbank about this incredible breach of privacy, one that is against my rights as a tenant in the RTB of BC, but they refused to return my call. I guess they only answer calls from people who want to give them money; managing their employees and properties isn't a concern.Disgusting that they spend more effort making fake accounts and reviews for their Google rating instead of actually putting that effort into customer service or doing your job of building sustainable housing that people will be happy to live in for years. Just look: every 5 star one-line review has no likes because they're all bots saying how Westbank is next to God

As a resident at their rental Zephyr, I am rather disappointed in their building quality and property management services. I wouldn't recommend anyone I know renting or buying from them. Some of the issues are addressed but I felt I need to let more people know what they might be getting into. To highlight a few:1. Promised move-in date changed twice and we have to move to another property offered by Westbank for around two months.2. The lack of adequate security measure on its storage room caused major break-in on the very first day of our move-in.3. Three leaks in den in just over a year for a brand new building.4. The building amenities constantly break down: gym, elevator etc.5. Slow, very slow, sooooo slow in compensation conversation.

Surely an imaginative and visionary developer with amazing office space and presentation of their incredible developments across Vancouver and worldwide. The architecture is WorldClass and they create such functional living communities and buildings. The oak ridge development is incredible. Surely set the bar high!

Buyers beware! Absolutely worst customer experience I have ever had regarding deficiencies and warranties @ Kensington Gardens. I have never seen that many things malfunctioning and broken moving into a brand new 5 star" condo. The finished building does not reflect the presale marketing materials. Customer service team needs training and coaching on accountability."

It was so happened that we have to ask for refund of the fees charged to the account when Westbank leased out my unit during leaseback program. It was almost almost 2 yrs and they still haven't resolved the issues and I was passed to so many people and they all claimed that it will be done. However, I kept getting outstanding amount from strata council for such fees which obviously proves that it is NOT done!!
