John is extremely professional, and skilled. He takes his work seriously and prides himself on his craft. He is extremely humble, but the results speak for themselves. I ONLY trust John for that photo worthy, instagram perfect fade and groom. And his prices are MORE than FAIR. I have been to many other barbers/hair dressing establishments, and the value for the buck you get at Modern Man Grooming is second to none.Most importantly a visit to Modern Man is everything you’d expect a barber experience to be. Great fade and haircut experience from John. I've gone to him a few times now and it was always a great experience. The quality and consistency is what matters and he's got that. Always on time! I come from the downtown Toronto experience and so I did a lot of searching before landing on Modern Man (John). It's safe to say that I've found my goto barber.

It's always a great experience getting my haircut at Modern Man. There's always plenty of parking on site. John always keeps his appointments on time. No waiting around. The barber shop has a very comfortable and relaxing environment with no loud music. John is very skilled and professional in his customer service. He's also very friendly and keeps great conversations. He does the cuts quickly and still pays attention to the details. I'm never disappointed. It's worth the 45 minute drive. Thanks John!

John is an exceptional barber and person. Very professional, punctual, friendly, and skilled. I like that he contacted me after pre-booking online in a timely manner. Customer service skills are excellent. They do take debit/credit. The private driveway leads to a parking lot at the rear, so be sure to enter the driveway, located on the north side of the road on Kingston (in the right side the building). Overall another great experience. Highly recommend coming here for mens grooming. Looking forward to coming back!

I came into town for a funeral, and I was in need of a haircut. After reading the reviews, I phoned up Modern Man Grooming and left a message. John called me back within the hour and booked me in.I entered at the back of the building. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed with the uncluttered cleanliness of the place. John led me to his barber chair, and he was very warm and friendly. This was by far the best haircut and beard trim I've ever received. His 20+ years of experience really shined through. We had a very friendly conversation about his life in the area, and life in general. He offered me a bottle of water afterwards for my walk home. Seriously, this will be the only place I get a haircut when I'm back in town. Thank you again, John!
