The Buffet at Grand Villa Casino
This is a small, high quality buffet. The staff were excellent, especially Sofia and Babak delivered high level service. The food was good. The roast beef was tough and chewy. The beef stew had a bit too much fat. The dessert was alright but too many pieces loaded into one tray. Presentation could be greatly improved. Everything else was perfect.

Where's the Beef? Came in during their Lunar Chinese New Year Buffet promotion ($33.99). But the menu was really nothing special stood out - other than egg drop soup, veggie spring rolls, sweet sour pork,etc..nothing really stood out to celebrate the New Year. Even worse, it seemed the roast beef" station closed around 8:20pm (we got there around 745pm) as we got the last few slices of beef there was - then had to wait almost 30 min for a new roast to come out (other customers were waiting too)..then when it finally came out..it was raw and red..the staff had to quickly throw the beef on the grill but the taste then felt a bit charred and burnt..not a great choice to start the new Lunar Year."

Best casino but the buffet is awful! First time going since covid: the drinks machine was broken, had to track down cutlery, took 5 minutes just to reach the plates section at the buffet line as it was so slow at the carving station and the selection is anything but interesting. I will stick to Chow or Personas going forward.

Surf and turf night on Friday and Saturday - for an increased price. I thought their digital wait system was pretty neat where it was easy to see where you where in line and how many groups were waiting in front of you. Overall, I thought the food was decent for a buffet. If we compare buffets to buffets and not fine dining restaurants, it will help with expectations. The selection wasn't huge but enough in my opinion. No service for drinks - there's a coke machine that supplies all the cold drinks including water. I thought the staff seemed overwhelmed by the number of people. Striploin is hit and miss depending on the slice you get. The prawns are nice and hot, good size. Soft serve ice cream is quite poor - any fast food restaurant is better.

Honestly don’t know how this place has more than 1 star. Food was the worse I ever have . No taste and old tasting . The area where the food was served , mostly empty and messy with all the dropped food ( when people try to grab food). The kitchen tried to stop serving the meat a hour before closing .paid 73 bucks for 2 people . Worse food I had. I wished I could tell people now to come eat when I saw them come in .

It's really pricey and there isn't that much options of food, as a normal buffet would have, and it doesn't taste good at all. They charge you right at the entrance, and don't even care explaining how it works. The tables were dirty and the staff wasn't friendly.

We went on Saturday evening.Food was like 4 seasons, Hilton's.$20 per person.It includes,SoupSaladShrimp,Fish nouggets,SalmonRoast beefHamCoffeeDesertSoft drinksFruitTheirs dinner buns are best in whole universe....I ever tasted, Europe, far east... The salmon was such fresh and big, yummy.The desert bar is Soo Soo good.There is nothing you don't like..Their Boston custard cake will make you go back..also are the non fattening white custard puffs.They showed a lot of dedication and care even in preparing their food... cholesterol wise.!!Ordinarily..one pays $50For appetizers, main course, desert, coffee..on hi end, Seasons in QE park...or Bridges"in Granville island.Highly recommended!!"

Saturday night surf and turf. $30/person before taxes and tip. Good quality dishes, but not 5 stars because staff behind the counter is completely missing the customer service vibe. They seem robotic, and almost giving you the feeling that they hope you wont ask for more food. Odd for a casino buffet.

I'm not sure why the one star ratings and people saying the food is awful, old, unclean place because my experience this past weekend was the complete opposite. I'm glad I gave it a chance instead of listening to the bad reviews.The food was fresh, tasted great, lots of variety and was constantly replenished the entire time we were there. Tomato bisque soup was delicious along with the scalloped potatoes, noodles, clams and mussels, chicken and roast beef.Staff were friendly and constantly picking up dirty dishes from tables. Good value for what we paid. We will be back again soon : )

So so place.You get what you pay for.Chicken, pork and some basic fish.No shrimp for dinner.Pasta is overcooked.Chicken has weird smell.I really liked salmon and cabbage salad.Little bottle of beer is $8
