Meridian Credit Union

Their biggest flaw is no ATM access outside of bank hours at almost every location.

The staff is very polite and helpful, the location is not very busy so I can get in and out quite quickly. I have been banking with Meridian for 8 years now, consistently offer the better Mortgage rates.

Thought I d get a mortgage for 100000$. as a long time customer of meridian i made an appmt and brought my 2priors yrs taxes and assessments in for review as asked. 3 days later I was called and told that as a self employed sole proprietor, they would need to see my taxes completed by a chartered accountant and that my income was not high enough. Screw them. Every year I max out the tfsa, I've saved up enough in 15yrs to pay more than 120000 down in cash. When I take out the money to buy the house I will close all of my accounts at meridian. Friendly bank huh....for the little people huh.....

Subpar banking experience through and through. Fees galore and their Visa card program change was an utter disaster and the issues are ongoing a year later. Truly a bunch of amateurs here.

Horrible place to work and bank. Charges etransfer fees for members. As an employee you’re stepped on for learning and asking questions. You’re expected to know after seeing a process one time. They say they’re inclusive but bash every member who walks out the door. Do not bank or work here

I thought Meridian Credit Union would have a better service than the banks but I guess not. Called the branch and asking a few questions. The Credit Union rep (her name is Jacklyn) responded, why wont you Bank there instead". Very Disrespectful and Rude. Just an FYI

The staff was thorough, yes, but also very friendly and helpful, Because dealing with money is a serious undertaking, I had no problem with providing information--if they know something about my situation, then the more likely they are to provide useful advice.

Nothing but great experiences here. All staff is friendly and very personable. I also deal with Nick on a ongoing basis as an advisor- He is great at following up, and keeping me up to date on my finances and very knowledgeable.

I switched to this branch just recently even though I built a relationship with another branch. Just today I received a call my account was overdrawn. I explain I will have the money in the account by tomorrow I’m just dealing with my wife being in the hospital and my kids. But it will forsure be in there. She then said that meridian does not do that. Funny part is when I was in a situation a while ago with the other branch they did it no problem. They actually pushed it a few days to be safe. So I asked her to have the manager call me because this was not adding up. She said no problem. I waited for the manager to call but didn’t and noticed the charges were not sent back so the manager I’m assuming took care of it. After they closed the charges were returned and I received a fee. If I knew it was not going to be held for a day I would of dropped what I was doing because being laid off for 5 months because of covid we can’t afford the fees we received from the bank and now from the lender that our loan is through. Just sad the staff said they would make sure he calls before it was sent back to figure it out and they never did, now they put us in a worse situation. Thanks oxford Meridian. You guys are absolutely horrible individuals and I will make sure I spread this between my network in the London area. Should of never switch my branch to London.

Excellent, professional, friendly, and exceptional are terms I offer for my experience with Meridian Credit Union. We use them both for our business and personal banking.Why pay larger interest rates to the banks for services while receiving lower rates of interest in your savings.This institution has earned our business many times over.
