Sonora Dunes Golf Course

Great 9 hole course. Very scenic. Not long but challenging. Greens are in nice shape. Snack bar and pro shop. Friendly staff.

It was a nice 9 hole course, the exception being the old white man who was working as the marshall.We did not find him friendly at all. My fiancee and sister and I were each eating a hot dog and drinking a beer after 9 holes. He came in to the golf course cafe and stared at us right next to our table for roughly 30 seconds, waiting for me to recognize him staring ((a man) clearly he wanted only to communicate with me and not my female companions). He asked us if we were done with our golf carts which still had our clubs and stuff on them (despite having parked them to the side right outside of the cafe). To which we responded we we still were playing 9 more holes, and still using them, he walked away.He then proceeded to move our power carts where he thought they should be without asking us.Then on the back 9, he found it necessary to follow our group around intently staying roughly half a hole behind us for the last 4 holes. Even though there were plenty of other groups on the course to monitor.(DISCLAIMER:OPIONION) I found him to be a weird, awkward misogynist. Had no other negative interactions with any other staff on the course. I have never had anyone follow me around on a golf course before even if our group had been drunk or unruly (which we were not today). Ok rant over, happy golfing, the course was nice and well kept!

Absolutely garbage staff. Played 9 holes around 4:00, tee boxes were completely uneven and full dips and holes. Greens were so inconsistent that one hole would be firm and roll nice and the next would be a sponge. I tried to talk to the staff and they said “well if you were a decent golfer you would be able to deal with it.” For the record Im roughly a 3 handicap, they proceeded to tell me to go play somewhere else if I didn’t like the price which was absurd at $60 for 9 holes. I’ve lived here for 6 years and this will be the last time myself or any of my buddies play the course. So dissapointed.

If you love the 1950's you'll love this course -misogny is acceptable and course staff are rude to everyone except high end experienced male golfers.The marshal talked down to my sister in law for parking her cart too close to the green (not on the green). We made a mistake and did not do this again. However, a kinder correction would have been appreciated. When she apologized and pointed out she didn't realize that was an issue because the group of men behind us were doing donuts on the green with their card, he proceeded to lecture her about that too, instead of the group that actually did it.We had a quick refreshment between front and back 9. Apparently we parked out carts in the wrong place. The marshal wanted to move the carts (which is fine) however he went about it by refusing to acknowledge or address the two women in our group, who were making eye contact and waiting for him to speak to us. He only spoke with the one male in our group. Instead of asking us to move our carts or kindly offering to do so he took it upon himself to move them without our knowledge. It's not what he did, it's how he did it.In a previous reply the owner said we were riding on the back of carts, hollering and trying to throw each other off. This is absolutely not true. We did have one moment of fun where someone stood on the back and we did one wide loop, not trying to injure anyone. Apologies for having a moment of fun. No shouting was involved and no one was remotely closed to being injured. There were no groups waiting behind us. Instead of addressing this directly the marshal stalked us for 5 holes.I can acknowledge we were not 100% perfect, although we truly were not rowdy or rude.Management cannot seem to understand they need to evaluate their biases and treat customers with more kindness.

We stopped by the Pro Shop to check prices for an upcoming round and from what we could see of the course, it looked absolutely immaculate. Can't wait to play!

Great 9 hole course offering spectacular views of the valley. The course looked well maintained and I rented clubs that were in decent condition. I played solo and did not feel rushed and left to enjoy.

Unprofessional staffing.I have been golfing all over BC and also worked at a golf course throughout my working career and I have never been met with such disrespect, to be specific from the pro-shop and marshal.As a non-member of the golf course there was a feeling of second class status.As someone that is proud to be part of this beautiful small town community I feel as if I can’t help but to tell people to save your money and golf somewhere else.Dunes is a beautiful course, but it definitely needs some fresh, friendlier blood in the staffing department

This executive 9 hole golf course is located in the Nk'Mip Spirt Ridge resort and offers a challenging 9 holes with a spectacular view of the Osoyoos Valley. I played 27 holes in early September and found the course in amazing condition. I recommend this course to any golfer staying in the the Osoyoos area.

I used to like this little course but not anymore. This is the cart I was driving yesterday . Going down to the 9th hole I was literally standing the breaks and it would not stop. Rather than go over the Cliff I tried to head it up the hill, we hit some bushes and were lucky enough to be able to jump off. From there it took off and got hung up on a rock before going down the cliff.I talked to the manager who was quick to tell me there was nothing wrong with the breaks. I also told her both times it stopped the wheels were still turning as though the pedal was stuck down and she just brushed it off. Her remarks were, well at least you got to finish your game (which we did not as we were both very shook up) and just think some day you’re going to laugh about it. No apologies at all!My friend is bruised up but luckily we are both fine, but no it’s not something we’re every laugh about, it could very well turned ugly.
