My business usually uses Scona Electric for it's motor rebuilds, but I decided to try EMSL as it was closer and initial contact via phone seemed positive. I delivered an industrial motor for a rebuild and it was completed a little later than quoted, but I didn't require it right away and that wasn't a big issue. We unwrapped the motor with the intention to install it, but noticed that the plastic plugs that fasten the wire cables on the electrical box were missing. I contacted EMSL as I assumed the plugs were removed during disassembly of the motor. I was told they would search for the plugs and they would get back to me once they were located. I waited several days and called again and was told that they could not locate the plugs, but they would try to source some new ones. I waited a couple weeks this time and called once again. I was told that the motor was a European spec and the plugs were a metric size and they hadn't been able to locate them. They were going to try some other sources and, once again, they would get back to me. At this point I was getting anxious as there was a potential buyer for the machine and I needed to schedule an electrician to wire the machine so that we could test it. A couple more weeks went by and I called again. They were not able to locate the plugs and at that point I was left hanging. Throughout the entire search I felt like this wasn't a big enough issue for them to even bother calling. Terrible customer service after they had been paid.
