The only reason it did not get a five star is because of the wait time. They are obviously under staff. I arrived at 7:30 am and there are 3 people already waiting. The technical not only needs to take bloodwork but also need to take care of reception so they are running back and forth like a mad man. There’s not even enough seats, there are at least 3 people standing all the time. However, the staff are amazing, especially May, she is probably one of the very few technicians who can take my blood at one shot without much problems/ pain. Please add a Reception so that the technicians can focus on what they do best and we can also reduce our wait time.Time is of essence in financial district.

I couldn't find the place, it was legit through a construction site that used to be Altima Dental. Then on top of that the poor girl was too busy to answer any of my questions I had regarding the test I was taking. She had like 5 people in the waiting room. I was waiting to hear back from my Doctor regarding my lab results and waited two weeks for them to tell me Altima Dental didn't even fax the results back to them.

Was apprehensive going here since it had such bad reviews but I ended having a really pleasant experience. The lady at the front desk was very polite and the whole process took me 15 minutes. I booked an appointment and didn't have to wait at all.It was a bit difficult to find the lab but other than that, really good experience.

DO NOT TRUST THIS PLACE WITH YOUR HEALTH. STAY AWAY FROM THEM, THEY ARE EXTREMELY INEFFICENT.This place does not even deserve a half star.Last week I booked an appointment online, I called the King St West clinic to ask how I should send them my e-Req as I don't have a printer at home and my doctor emailed the Req to me (which is the common practice over the past 2 years with Covid), I was given an email of an alphalab employee (Dionne) to whom I sent my e-Req and she was kind enough to acknowledge my email and told me she would send the Req to her colleagues at King W clinic. So I went to my 9:20am appointment today only to find out not only they don't have my Req but also they don't even bother to look at my e-Req and the email I had sent to the lab last week, they did not let me email it to them although they had a printer and the lady at the desk was SOOOO inefficient that was not willing to help and she kept dismissing me by saying go somewhere else to print it. I showed her the email I had sent her colleague and she just dismissed me. This place is a total disaster, it was very hard to find them in the back corner of another clinic (MCI) in a big shopping center with no signage to indicate there is a lab here, it took me 15 min wandering in the mall and asking around before I finally found it by another name. When I got there I found a que with no one attending to the patients. It was a one woman show. The lady at the concierge (who did not help me at all) was the same person who was taking blood and answering phone (or rather not answering because she was not at her desk when you needed her)! I was so shocked that she did not even acknowledge me Requisition and she was trying to get rid of me although I had an appointment and I had done everything I was told by her colleague. I left and went to Lifelab on Queen East and my test was done in less than 15 min without an appointment.

Opens at 9, the only person employed at the place walked in after 9:30. She was apologetic, but, come on!! Then she proceeded to take people in line in order - rather than the order of those of us who bothered to booked an appointment. Yes, I got my blood work done. No, I will never go back!

I would give a better review if I ever was able to wait long enough in line for an appointment. I have come here on numerous occasions, and there seems to only ONE person working here despite it being in a very busy location in the financial district. Booking appointments doesn't seem to matter, you will still wait. I can't book half a day off to have a blood test.

In and out quickly when you book an appointment. Nurse is good at what she does.

The ladies who assisted me in the lab this afternoon had absolutely ZERO service and were extremely rude. Initially when I walked in, the lady at reception didn't look up from her work even after I greeted her.I was sent away to retrieve an additional form and when I returned I faced an empty office. Spoke down the hall multiple times to get someone to assist me. When another lady came up, she was just as rude. Didn't say a single thing and as soon as she finished taking the blood she just walked out of the room. I thanked both ladies on my way out and neither of them acknowledged me. I don't think I've ever been so poorly treated in a professional setting.

I have always had a needle phobia, especially when it came to drawing blood. Before coming to this clinic, I would always faint and it would always be an unpleasant experience. May changed that for me! She is patient, gentle and quick. I won't go to anyone else but her!

I went in the morning to get my blood work done. While waiting for my turn, the lady (who was alone at that time) spoke rudely with an elderly gentleman ahead of me. It was his greatness that he smiled and said nothing. When my turn came, I also felt that the lady is in a bad mood but ignored it - who doesn't have bad days? All of us do, and I am not here to exchange niceties, I am here to get my blood work done, so I ignore it. She starts the blood work and inserts the needle, no issues there. However when she takes out the needle, she just yanks it out and I don't scream but control my pain. I knew at that time that she had taken it out the wrong way. I have blood work done many times and have never had any injury but the next day, I have this huge bruise on my arm (see pic). It's 3-4 days later and I still have the injury and my arm is paining. All of this just because the person doing their job didn't have the decency to do their job patiently. I get it, you are having a bad day. We all do. But you are dealing with people and their bodies here. Please treat them with respect and also please don't belittle elderly people who are not smart enough to use your latest token printing technology. Needless to say, I am never coming here again.
