Coastal Adventures

Raina and Annie were very friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable guides. The tour was leisurely taking in the beautiful scenery and we saw a number of seals both in the water and sunbathing. We had a drink and snack stop in a lovely little cove, then headed to a 'jumping rock', with the option to jump....before heading back. Clearly Raina and Annie love their job and they passed that on enthusiasm. Would highly recommend coatal adventures.

Coastal Adventures didn't even show-up, scheduled tour that had a paid deposit and I spoke to the team directly. Major inconvenience on a variety of levels to our party, notably having limited time with from-away guests so was an embarrassment. Moreover, Coastal Adventure was unapologetic. Dreadful to make a negative post as a sincere supporter of the Eastern Shore and local businesses.

Had a great half-day paddle!

I took the two-day Intro to Sea Kayaking course, with very little prior experience. The course was amazing, excellent instruction and feedback, and the food was great (and they even accommodated my vegan diet!).If you’re interested in sea kayaking, take this course. Learning how to get back in your boat from a capsize (and help others do the same) is the most important first step. And it’s fun!Can’t recommend this place enough.Note: I've added some photos I took on two different trips I took with Coastal Adventures after the intro course!

We had a wonderful half day guided trip with Jeremy. Jeremy was knowledgeable, supportive of those of us with first time jitters, and very capable. We enjoyed the route, the sandy beach stop along the way, the seals and the rock jumping! Gail and Scott provided a very positive experience for us at the B&B. Recommend!

Had a Magical experience as beginners under the supervision of our tour guide Michael that was very knowledgeable. Had the chance to see seals and other animals. Also borrowed us high quality-equipement. Highly recommend booking a tour with this company as beginners but also experts!

We had an awesome half-day paddle with Mick and Leigh as our guides.We came with just some recreational lake kayaking experience, but the Coastal Adventures folks outfitted us with everything we needed from paddling jackets, PFDs, and spray skirts. They even have wetsuits if you need them (we brought our own). The fact that they provided all the necessary gear ensured we were properly equipped, and this allowed us to have a great time (even though it was cool and overcast).We did a 10KM paddle around one of the islands, with a break in the middle for snacks helpful provided by Mick. It was foggy, but we enjoyed seeing the islands appear out of the fog, and it was gorgeous. We got (safely) exposed to lots of different conditions, including some moderate waves...which made the trip a LOT of fun.These folks are a first-rate organization. We would definitely paddle with them again. Highly recommended.

Scott got us set up with everything and helped us make a plan for 4 days on the water. Had an amazing time and saw plenty of wildlife including seals and bald eagles! It's a magical place!

Booked the half day tour and had an amazing time. Our guide (Jeremy) quickly outfitted us and got us on the water with helpful tips, tutorial, and assistance loading/unloading. The route was interesting with many small islands and inlets. A lot of marine life is readily visible from the surface, especially if you go in the morning on a day with low winds.Our guide had lots of information about marine and bird life, and conservation in the bay. He was also happy to talk about Nova Scotia and the history of the area in general. Included a tasty snack stop at a sandy beach.Cannot recommend this tour enough, it is definitely worthwhile making a trip out to Tangier (just an hour from Halifax) and setting aside a day for this.

We had a fabulous trip! We went on the three day 100 Islands tour and it was stunning and the guides were great: patient, capable,and personable. Coastal Adventures also went above and beyond to deal with our complex dietary needs and were really flexible about meeting the needs of our group. This is definitely a top-ten Nova Scotia experience for me.
