We (five adults) passed by the beautiful Trois-Rivières on August 21, 2020 and decided to find a place to have lunch. We were looking for a place that can feed a vegan, a vegetarian and three omnivorous. We found El-Taouk on Google and headed there. It was at 3:00 pm that we entered the place. A man was sitting at a table. When we arrived, he went behind the counter and asked what we want. We started asking about the foods in English. He fluently said in English that he doesn't speak English and we need to speak French. That was fine; all of us knew basic French to order food, and a friend of us was fluent in French. Then we asked in French some questions about the foods and their ingredients since we needed to make sure about the vegan and vegetarian options. The guy didn't answer the questions properly, and impolitely referred to the menu board, but, of course, that was not enough for us... COME ON! Can't we ask any questions about the food ingredients??Since we were running out of time, we decided to order Falafel, which we were almost sure that should be vegan. When we started to order, he said he is going to close the restaurant in five minutes, and he can't sell us food!!! What?!!?! We were very surprised by this rude behaviour! We came out and went to another excellent restaurant in downtown.We do not recommend this place.

Probably one of the WORST i have seen here in Trois-Rivières..Super rude arab staff talking loudly like fighting ...Unhygienic place ....Disgusting experience....We left at once me and my family.

It's a special taste especially sauce ely and potatos...and placement is very strategic and a beautiful view throw the churche...

It was my first time ordering there but it won't be the last! I ordered the shish taouk plate, and it was delicious. I love how the rice is seasoned just right (is that a hint of clove and cinnamon?) The golden crisp chicken and savoury potatoes were particularly good. Highly recommended!

I had my doubts after being used to terrible Taouk Resto, and it certainly didn't give a good first impression either when they wouldn't answer the phone and I had to walk there myself, or when the menu wasn't the same as the one online, and also when the students discount ended up being a lie, but damn if this isn't the best Lebanese food I've ever had (and I've lived in Montreal).The service may not be up to par, but the quality certainly makes up for it.

Random choice for lunch while traveling. Different flavors for us, but very good . It was awkward communicating but we all managed.

Very tasty because the chicken was toasy golden. Of course, this food is the best fast food because it is made from real transformed ingredients. I was very satisfied.

Horrible service.I've been to many restaurants like this looking for a fresh vegetarian alternative for lunch.I asked for a vegetarian plate and was offered vegetables in a pita with a terrible attitude.Don't support this establishment, Horrible customer service.

Kickass food and friendly staff. Only real complaint is that they often put either too much or too little of their sour/garlic sauce on the potatoes and like 1 slice of beet in the sandwiches unless you ask for more (at no extra cost too!).
