Pleasantly surprised with just how tasty the chicken we ordered was! All the taste and much less greasy than at any 'chain' restaurants with the same offerings. Fries were great and the macaroni salad is definitely a hit. Our family can be pretty picky but this was excellent. Prices are comparable to elsewhere.Staff were friendly and courteous and didn't seem at all hesitant when we asked if it was too late to order - 1/2 hr prior to closing. Yay!Just wish they were open a little later for those days when you get home a bit late and you've forgotten to take something out for dinner, lol.

Glenwood is sometimes a bit off the path, but the cactus pit is absolutely worth making the detour for. Excellent nachos and fried chicken, a large menu, including several kids options, clean and friendly! If you're in the area, absolutely check it out.

Excellent cafe, huge food portions. Delicious burgers, super friendly staff with excellent customer service. A hidden gem, must visit place on your way through town. Come hungry, leave full! Home style food with reasonable prices. A must visit!

yum! I drove all the way from lethbridge to give this place a try. My first bite was the amazing fries which immediately reminded me of my grandmas home cooked fries, freshly cut from potatoes, the seasoning just made it even better. I got the 2 piece chicken meal that came with a pop and i also added a macaroni salad that went very well being paired with the rest of the food. I was able to re eat it 3 times as i got full so fast. You defiantly get a decent amount of food for what you pay for . ITs freshly hot too ,that it will be perfect by the time you get home and sit down to eat with the fam jam.

Stopped by for lunch with a co-worker as we were in the area. Had the 3 piece chicken meal with fries. Everything was great, good portion sizes. Chicken was hot and juicy, fries were steak cut, crispy and lots of them. Very friendly staff/owner. Great spot to stop, thanks cactus pit for lunch!

What a “hidden gem” - worth the little detour into Glenwood for sure!! Probably the yummiest fried chicken ever - beats the fast food chains hand down. The fresh cut fires and pasta salad also amazing - will visit again soon!!

Fried chicken is their specialty. They do it quite well, but ours was slightly over cooked. Their fries are nmhand cut and we liked them a lot.
