Riverside Kayak Connection
What a great experience! Izzy was our guide. He was so nice, professional, and helpful! We have never kayaked on the river and are 'beginners'. He knew just what to do to help us! The tour was awesome! And for our friends who had to cancel 2 days before the event Riverside was understanding and easy to work with! Highly recommend! And we will be back!

Riverside Kayak Connection
This shop is a gem. Laura is incredibly knowledgeable and patient. We came in with some ideas about kayak lengths, design, etc. Laura listened to our ultimate goals and helped us find the right kayaks for our needs. There was no sales pressure. There was an obvious passion for kayaking and helping people grow in their boating knowledge. I would recommend this shop to anyone and will return again for any boating or accessory needs!

Riverside Kayak Connection
The tour guides were fantastic and the entire trip was awesome. I saw my hometown city from a whole different perspective. There were six in our group and we had a great time. We never felt in danger (of capsizing) and got a little taste of Detroit history too. I would highly recommend this!

Riverside Kayak Connection
I attended a rolling class at the Coleman Young center in Detroit. The instructors, Thorsten and Kathy, were great. Very patient and insightful, providing personalized attention to each person according to their needs. It was a very fun, secure environment. When you are upside down in your kayak it's great to experience a lot of trust and confidence in the instructors!Location is very convenient and easy to get to.

These guys are top notch! They did a great job of making my entire family feel comfortable (safe) while in the water, as the Detroit River can be a little intimidating to some. We also had a lot of fun and very much enjoyed learning about the canal-side" of Detroit's history that few probably ever hear. Definitely would recommend this activity!"

Riverside Kayak Connection
We went on the canal tour in Detroit, and it was wonderful. The guides were helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. They made sure everyone had a great time. We will absolutely be going out with this company again, I cannot recommend them enough. I have been on many kayaking tours, in multiple states, and this was by far, the best.

Riverside Kayak Connection
After doing a kayak tour from a different company we went in to just look at kayaks to figure out what we'd like to get for ourselves. Staff was friendly, funny, and best of all, no B. S.! Zero sales pressure and we ended up buying two kayaks on the spot. We weren't kayak newbies but not seasoned veterans either. If you are considering a kayak purchase I would highly recommend Riverside Kayak Connection.

Riverside Kayak Connection
My mom and I went on the Detroit Historical Canals Tour over Father's Day weekend and had a great time. Izzy and Mac were super knowledgable and just great people all around. We will definitely be back to kayak with them again!
