Hwy7 Pet Retreat

We had to board our (very) old dog Frank for the first time in his life at 15 years of age and I felt that he was well taken care of, a few years later when we got a new puppy and couldn't take her on vacation with us we boarded Bobby there as well. We think she enjoys her stays, and we appreciate getting photos and updates while we away. It's a huge responsibility to care for someone's baby" and the most important thing is knowing that they are safe."

We have used Hwy7 Pet Retreat for many years now, for both boarding and daycare. They are fantastic and taking care of our fur babies, and keeping us updated on their activities and behaviours when we are away. They have been very flexible and helpful in the event we ran into delays for pickup, and their staff are very caring and always find positive things to say when we do arrive to take them home.We recently had an issue with one of our pups who became ill the last night of his stay and needed treatment. The owner made sure to follow up a number of times to check on him and offer any assistance they could. Truly a fantastic facility with caring and loving owners and employees.

This is the best spot for my two boys. My pups are very energetic and have some special needs, and the staff here were very receptive to all of them right from the start. I was once worried about not being able to travel abroad, wanting to ensure proper care and love for my pups while I was away. They are always so excited to come here! And the photo updates during my travel are always so, so, so much appreciated!!! :)

My girl Maggie loves going to Hwy 7 Pet Retreat. As soon as we pull into the parking lot, she knows where she is and gets excited. When I pick her up, I know she's had a great day when she is quiet the whole ride home. The staff are wonderful and I am very comfortable leaving her in their capable hands.

Recently decided to use a different Kennel for our medium sized dog. She can be a bit nervous, so we were a bit concerned about how she would handle it. The staff took us on a tour of the facilities, explained how they work, and reassured us that they would work with her to make sure she was comfortable.On the second day of her stay we got pictures and a note written by an actual human. When we picked her up she was happy and healthy, she was cleaner than we expected, and the staff knew her well.She'll be coming back for some more stays, just great.

I was very hesitant to use a Kennel until I was referred to this particular one in Ashton. We went to visit and found it very tidy and all the dogs seemed happy.When we picked up our dog after our vacation she looked so happy and was freshly bathed!We received updates and pictures which helped so much.I was worried about her appetite but she ate well and her personality was the same after she came home.I would 100% recommend this country retreat!

We have nothing but great things to say about Hwy 7 Pet Retreat. We got our girl, Georgia, towards the end of Covid and knew we wanted her to be socialized. After shopping around we settled on here and we are so glad we did. Every time we drop Georgia off she is greeted with so much enthusiasm. She always comes home zonked from her playtime and if she’s been kennelled overnight we always get an update with photos about her stay. I quite often feel as though she’s more excited to go to camp than she is to come home, and I’m ok with that because I know it means she loves it. We cannot recommend this place and the staff enough!

We have been taking our rottweiler Jersey to Hwy 7 for the past several years. They staff is always familiar and they take time to get to know each pet. We had a walk through the facility initially and I liked their communication system set up for the animals in their care. I would recommend this kennel.

We have been taking our dog, Luna, to Hwy 7 Pet Retreat for a year. They are so caring and fun, she absolutely loves to go there for an extended visit! The staff is friendly and you can tell they truly care about the animals they are boarding. I especially love the fact that you receive pictures and an update on how your dog is doing every few days during their stay. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a place to board their animal!

Hwy7 is the only place we trust to take our 2 goldens. They are definitely 5 star, going above and beyond with everything. They take care of their every need and keep you updated during their stay to alleviate any nerves. We just wish we lived closer so we could take them more often! We recommend Hwy7 to everyone. Trust them! They are amazing!
