The restaurant has an ambient and cozy vibe. There is a pre-fixed menu including an appetizer, main course and dessert, which costs about $67. You can also select just any main course on their own. We ordered the duck on salad and duck on poutine for main course. The duck meat tastes amazing and the salad was very well-balanced. Though the poutine as also very good, the portion was very large, so we couldn’t finish the dish. The cream brûlée was good but very sweet. If you’re not a sweet tooth, be prepared. The service was friendly, quick and attentive. Definitely would come back to try other french cuisine dishes!

This is a great restaurant right near Hotel Frontenac. This a historical building with lots of antiques and charm. It provides a perfect palette of Quebec food. They provide an option for 3 starter, entree and dessert. The maple pie is the best dessert, it takes like a butter tart. The server was also Very knowledgeable in the food culture and they were very accommodating with us having a baby stroller.

My parents had been here decades ago and wanted to return as they had fond memories from their last time. This restaurant is a rustic restaurant true to Canada. The place is small so make a reservation. The artwork is traditional Canadian wood carvings and framed wood carvings. The dishes are a range of different meats: bison, beef, caribou, elk, pork, fish. However, they had a vegan pot au feu on the menu, too. The escargot was delicious. The salmon was a bit on the well side. The beef wellington was perfectly cooked and had a wonderful apple liquor brown sauce. The bison with brown blueberry sauce was our favorite. The Maple pie is the best. The waitstaff was so personable and charming. If you want a piece of authentic Quebec, it is a must.

Loved the history and the old charm of this restaurant - built in the 1600 wow!!The menu is price fixed, you can choose things to eat, plus upgrades on most of the expensive meats. You get a starter, a main and a dessert, plus a wine or beer. I got the meat trio which is what I saw online before I arrived. It was elk, bison and deer. I thought it was a hit overcooked but the sauce and potato gratin was tasty. The winner and what my family came for was the maple syrup tart, it was very rich and sweet but so unique and delicious.Cool vibes, it was like we were dining in the olden days. Do make reservations, as the restaurant fills up quickly!

Authentic Québécois food, well prepared from scratch. We had appetizers meat pie and pea soup, both of which were simple but excellent. We finished with beef tenderloin that was served with genuine local root vegetables in a good gravy. It is clear that everything is made here. Good service.

Fabulous! What a lovely and historic place to dine! I enjoyed my meat trio- I had them cook it medium rare and it was cooked to perfection! My potato au gratin was the best I've ever had and exactly what I want when I think of it- very classic flavor. The ambiance was beautiful and the service was excellent. I can't say enough good things. We all ordered the option that provided us each with an appetizer, entrée and dessert. The Québec meat pie was also delicious.

The place exceeded our expectations. Very charming ambiance and service was excellent. Food was top quality and delicious! Highly recommend the meat pie, maple bread pudding, and the onion soup. I got the menu of the day, which was excellent value for money and the selections were great.Highly recommend this place!

Went there for a nice romantic dinner. I requested a quiet place for us to enjoy a beautiful evening, and we were not disappointed. The place was right in the corner, view on the street l, separated from the main dinner room. Service was great, and the food was delicious. A must if you are looking to try authentic French Canadian meals. Plan ahead, make a reservation and enjoy !

We came to QC for work and ended up eating here twice in one week. The food was outstanding! If I lived here, I would visit every day for the pea soup. I ordered the slow roasted beef tenderloin both nights and it was fabulous and my husband had the bison bourguignon and the AAA filet with fries and he said it was “glorious”. We had both the maple syrup and blueberry pie. I preferred the blueberry, but if you like pecan pie try the maple syrup for sure. The meals were quality ingredients both nights and the flavors worked really well together. This is a great restaurant to visit in Quebec City. Also, Nicholas and Samuel were the kindest waiters. We truly had the best time with both.
