Yogatown

I have been coming to Yogatown Barrhaven since Jan 2020. I started as a New Year’s resolution and have stayed with it for so many reasons. The studio actively practices inclusion and I love the diversity of clientele I see there. The staff is welcoming and accommodating. The instructors and class selection are so varied and there’s a class for every mood. I move and breathe easier with Yogatown in my life.

Studio is clean and yoga room is amazing. Staff have been not professional and many of the front desk people don’t know what they are doing . Instructors don’t care much and not all pleasant or relaxing during yoga (some of them at least). I went several times and they turn me back after I confirm my spot or give away a spot or talk unpleasantly . I left there once really upset and today reminded me of why I stopped going here.l two years ago. Culture is overall not the greatest . Only yoga studio in ottawa where I left sad or frustrated from staff. If want a solid studio, the real yogatown , go Preston. They have been upholding their standard since they opened at least which is way before this new location started. There is real energy in that space, unlike the barrhaven location. Very business like and centred.

Variety of classes, great instructors, clean and minimalistic space..great app and booking system.. everyone is very friendly and approachable!

Great studio, wonderful, helpful staff and amazing instructors. Highly recommend this place.

Today was my husband and I’s last day of our 30 day trial. In our mid-30s I had never tried Yoga and Elena assured me I’d be A-OK that it was a welcoming, judgment-free, community. She was right. As we finish our 30 days Jay and I grew to really enjoy the classes, especially as we became more familiar with some of the common poses. Our favourite classes to join were Josh Towell’s. We found the way he communicated to be precise and he accurately explained what to do, followed by the name of the pose (which helps to learn). His classes were the right pace for us, relaxing yet still a slight mental and physical challenge. Unfortunately it was out of our financial means to continue our membership but we truly loved our time here and wish it was a reality for us to continue. Highly recommended and don’t be afraid if you are new :)

The studio is modern and well kept. They have a wide variety of yoga classes with different instructors who have distinct styles which I love. Also, their app makes it so convient to look through the class descriptions and reserve.

It is difficult to express what Yogatown has done for my mind and my body. When I started my membership back in 2019, I could barely walk from chronic pain and my mental health was at an all time low. Now, I practice yoga at least 5 times a week and it has improved my mobility 100%.I am so glad I found Yogatown and a community of people who cheer me on and support me. If I could give 1000 stars, I would. Amazing staff and teachers ❤️

If you are a person of colour don’t go to this location. All the staff will clearly be aggressive and disrespectful towards you at any chance just to discourage you from attending their classes. You better off going to more inclusive and respectful yoga studios. Horrible experience!!!

I’ve been to the Barrhaven location 4 times now and every single time, I’ve had a great experience. The staff is very helpful, knowledgeable and pleasant! Every class I’ve been to has been different. Their online booking and class purchasing is super easy! The location is clean and follows COVID protocols. Thanks Yogatown, so happy to have found you guys!
