The Bakers Table - Café & Bakery
While travelling for work, I decided to stop into this cafe for a late breakfast. This adorable, and visually historic space was extremely warm and welcoming. Upon ordering I was immediately distracted by the vintage style and trinkets spread throughout the space; mismatched chairs and plates, tiny tea cups and solid wood furniture. The other customers were unbelievably friendly (even for Newfoundland & Labrador), making small talk from across the cafe. I had a breakfast sandwich with coffee: the bread was exceptional, and the coffee was perfect. Again, even while enjoying my delicious sandwich, I couldn’t take my eyes off the art around the room. One piece in particular had me looking again and again. I asked the waiter if the artist was selling, and to my surprise a lady eating just across the room spoke up, stating the name of the artist. She literally contacted the artist to see if I could purchase, and to my surprise, this woman GAVE me the piece of NL art. It was a simply sweet, hanging quilt piece with NL favourite margarines. I was shocked, but grateful for this gift. I will 100% visit this space again, and hopefully bring friends along. I will definitely like to return the favour to this cafe, by brining in a new piece of art someday :)

My wife and I went for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. Great food, prices and service. Will return in the future. Great home cooked meals.

Fresh food made 95% from scratch. outside seating with amazing views. We were there for coffee and goodies. Kayla was very friendly and took the time to pint out to us a few must see in the area. In the middle of Burin Heritage Square!!

Ordered breakfast was served then no fork 20 mins later had to go ask for a fork when the meal was cold
