Lucky Moose Food Mart
Well-stocked Asian grocery. Also has fresh meat and seafood. The meat is surprisingly very cheap. Not 100% sure about the freshness though but still very low prices especially at the butcher area

Low prices, fast service, and the store is fairly small for the amount of things it sells which makes shopping much quicker than larger stores.Very conveniently located in Chinatown as well. I can kill 2 birds with 1 stone and get the items Lucky Moose sells but local stores do not, at the same time I go to Chinatown.

I bought a pack of 4 pears with serial number 4007 stickers from Lucky Moose. The pear is moldy inside and it’s terrible !

Bought some peach and taiwan pineapple tarts there. Peach tasted ok but the tarts are dry. Nonetheless, it is good to shop here for east asian groceries

Quite large. Everything you need and more. Even women's hygiene product. Asian groceries mostly but a lot of western products too like Campbell's broth. There is a seafood section in the back and even some cooking items like large ramen bowls and woks. There is a great ramen assortment, melon Popsicles in boxes of 8 and lots of fun drinks like a variety of milk teas.Cash payment if under 30$, credit card is allowed after 30$.

I have never written a review for a supermarket in my life but this one here deserves it. Lucky Moose is the best supermarket I have ever been to and guaranteed the best hidden gem in Toronto. The prices and quality can't be beaten, and you are wasting your money buying groceries in Loblaws, Metro etc.The selection of foods is great, they have everything important in this small store. And the quality is so much better than any other grocery store. Try and buy grapes, avocados, kiwis from no frills and compare to the ones from Lucky Moose - you will be surprised how much better the products in Lucky Moose are. They also have a good selection of meat and fresh fish and lobster (also much much better priced than any Western supermarket with almost equal quality). Also for those saying that prices there are similar to T&T - it's absolutely not true. T&T is expensive. And yes, there are some Chinese supermarkets which are cheaper than Lucky Moose, but in terms of quality far below.I am kinda afraid to post this review as I know that when people really find out about the value of this grocery store, it would be overloaded with too many people every day (it already is busy) ;-) Top location and top friendly staff which is also very efficient.

Usually not too crowded. Good prices on most things. The only caveat is, don't expect to be able to get help in English. You're expected to know what you are looking for and find things yourself. It's just the way it is. Not a bad thing either, as you're left alone in peace, which I like a lot!

They have an interesting collection of somewhat exotic fruits that other grocery stores lack which makes them one of my favorite places to do my weekly shopping. I recommend buying their mangos and cactus pears which in my opinion are the best in the area.

Good local place to go grocery shopping. I usually purchase fruits and vegetables there. The price is inexpensive. But using credit card with less than $20 expenses needs to pay 50cents extra.
