For the most part the customer service is great. We had reservations the last two times we visited. No waiting for a table. Our last visit was on St.Patricks day. Our waitress was very friendly, fast, knowledgeable about the cider and beer. Food is fresh and delicious. Keep an eye on the dessert menu for sure!Many of us are not super comfortable with the deer heads mounted on the walls in the back room and we avoid it at all cost! An updated decor is recommended in these particular spots. The pictures on the walls are whimsical, cool and historical. The chairs could use an update as they are not very comfortable with the high sides and it makes it difficult to relax and turn in your chair.Amazing architecture and I'm so happy the building is getting such great use. I've been driving past it for over 40 years.

Usually we’re so happy when we visit this establishment! So much so, we make a special trip from the city. Tonight, it was barley mediocre at best. Our service was great, however our order was wrong (fixed quickly) but once it came back, our frites were cold, the burger buns seems to just come out of the refrigerator and the chicken was kind of dipped in the hot honey sauce, but mostly not.The temperature of the restaurant was insane. It’s usually a little chilly, but tonight it was an inferno. Our server did mention the air conditioner was broken, so that’s likely the cause, but the heater was pumping and it was unbearable and we couldn’t wait to leave, so we scarfed down some food, skipped dessert and got the cheque.We do really love the atmosphere and the building is beautiful! A bad night isn’t the end of the world and we’ll likely go back next time we’re in the area, but this is the second time our chicken burgers were…meh…I’m not sure on the special trips anymore. Given the price of fuel and food, we can find something else in the city. Maybe next time, we will try the breakfast menu instead!

I always have a great time here! The food is delicious, I want to try everything on the menu, but I cannot say no to their fried chicken. The staff is always very upbeat and kind. If there was an option I would give them more stars.

We live in Sackville (over an hour away) but I would say this is the spot we have frequented the most in the past 3.5 years of dating.The ciders are ever changing with lots of regular favourites, I love variety and stopping in to have a flight and try their new creations!The food is AMAZING! So consistently delicious, fresh, and creative.The atmosphere is unmatched, always such a chill vibe, in a beautiful old property.We participated in their NYE set menu dinner 2 years in a row. It was a perfect evening both times.The staff is also super friendly and accommodating, we wanted to sit outside and they went and got us chairs, then we were cold as the sun went down and they kindly brought us inside.I wish I could give them 6 stars, because they deserve it!

Service was great, amazing atmosphere, and very good brunch menu. Love the Spicy mother clucker!Edit: quality has gone down hill, had the spicy mother clucker again, and it was ok but not great. Very oily, not much honey or spice. Not sure what happened, but it was much better previously.Edit: Went back and had the spicy chicken sandwich with browned butter, lime, and spices and it was amazing! The fries were perfectly cooked and service was fast and friendly. Changing my rating to 4 stars, will test again to see if it gets 5 ;)

For our wedding we were searching for a reception venue that could accommodate our guest list (around 70), reflected our style and could cater delicious food. We found the perfect fit with Maritime Express Cider Co. in Kentville. Genevieve, Katie and staff were prompt and professional in answering our questions, allowing us time to explore the different spaces available to book and even accommodating a food tasting so we could best choose from their catering menu. Setting up our reception was a breeze as Katie was on hand to help with any questions. We rented linens from the Wedding Vogue, which is conveniently located in the same building. It was easy to decorate as the ballroom is beautiful and full of character. The reception flowed perfectly with the buffet set up (with staff to serve), our own bar and audio equipment available for speeches and music. If you are looking for a space to host an event, I would highly recommend Maritime Express. With a variety of historic spaces, professional staff and unforgettable food, you won’t regret it!

Lovely, bright restaurant. I think the windows really make the place. Our server was lovely! The food, for me, was not particularly great. I ordered the carne asada, described as containing chimi churi and pico de galla, expecting some spicy heat. Unfortunately, that was not the case. The flavours and the heat were not there. I hope the kitchen takes my comments to heart and works on their flavour profiles.

Stopped into Maraitime Express Cider Co in Kentville for the first time and really enjoyed it! Our server Erin was excellent, attentive, and friendly. The food was fantastic, we enjoyed the bread, the fried chicken sandwich (which was massive), and the mushroom pasta. Everything we ate was excellent. The restaurant itself is cozy and has character. I'd definitely recommend to my friends!
