First Route Driving School Kingston

I had Salman for my driving instructor. He is very friendly and patient and helped me with driving skills that I wasn't fully confident doing. Overall a great experience that helped me pass my G2 test!

I had Salman as my instructor and he was very nice guy. He really helped me improve my driving skills in such a short time by giving me little tips to remember while I was driving. Also when I did something wrong he’d correct me in a good way so I felt that I didn’t have to be nervous at all when I was trying new things. He was a really good instructor and was the main reason I passed my G2.

I took lessons with Salman and it was a great experience. He is very patient and understood what I needed to improve, tailoring his teaching style to my learning style. Thanks to his tips and guidance I passed my road test and received my G2 license.

Online part of course went well. Although there were many issues with the program when taking it and we were expected to contact support to have them fixed. This company has no communication skills whatsoever. Good luck trying to get them to answer a phone call or email. My wife completed her online portion and after 4 weeks of waiting, I had to go into.the office personally to find out what was going on. Within a week we were given an instructor. The instructor did his job and showed up as expected. After completion of the driving portion my wife drove to the office with the instructor to submit paperwork to allow for the ministry driving test. After a week of waiting for confirmation of the paperwork to allow the scheduling of the test. We once again had to physically go into the office. Paperwork was finished within the day. My wife took this course so she could get her g2 after 8 months. They knew this at booking and failed to get her anywhere close to her goal date. Due to the incompetence of this company she was 6 weeks beyond her allowable driving test date. Unless you are willing to fight this process every step of the way. I would not recommend this company. Way overbooked. Not enough instructors. And no communication. Stay far far away.

I recommend driving school for any new driver especially FRDS! The BDE course is visual and easy to follow along with, however I wish I had taken the in person course as I have heard it is just as good if not better! I had a great experience with the in-car lessons. Steve B is an awesome instructor, honest, funny and consistently shows encouragement through humour and reassurance! Starting out as a nervous driver, I eventually became more confident in my own driving after these lessons and now have a better foundation to utilize as I continue learning and driving! Thank you for a great experience!

I had an excellent experience taking in-car lessons with Steve Brennan at First Route. With Steve’s instruction, I passed my G2 and feel confident and comfortable on the road. When I started my in-car lessons, I was an extremely nervous driver, and I had failed my G2 twice. Steve is a very thorough, patient, funny, and effective instructor, and has really good tips and techniques to perfect every maneuver, especially tricky ones like parallel parking. I highly recommend Steve Brennan and First Route for driving lessons!

I loved my experience with Forst Route Driving School. My instructor, Jim P was amazing. He made me comfortable from the get go. I'm an older student, and was pretty nervous my first time out. He calmed my fears. Took me to a quiet place where I could practice without any other cars. Now I love driving! Highly recommend this course, and Jim P!

I had Salman as my instructor and he was very nice. While I did feel confident at first he showed me many more things such as parallel parking and back in/pull in and constantly reminded me of things to be weary of to help me feel more comfortable on the road which has allowed me to get my license and be a more confident driver. Great instructor!

The virtual course is very easy to follow and share a wide variety of great information on driving! Everything necessary for getting a license and staying safe is right in the course!The in person experience with a driving instructor was amazing. It was very easy to understand and quite fun.I would definitely recommend to a friend!

Highly recommended driving school. The BDE course is easy to understand, you just really need to invest time to it. The admin is responsive to my emails. Thumbs up! Also, I had a great time with the in-car lessons. Tony is a great instructor -- brutally honest and consistently reminds me of what needs to be done in every situation, nonetheless how to be a safe driver. Thanks FRDS Kingston!
