Loved their escargots. There was a tiny wait to get a table. I got the venison with mashed potatoes and that was yummy. I usually don’t like french onion soup but i really liked theirs. They have a limited menu that changes to the season. Our waitress was very kind.

A nice, calm spot away from all the tourists. Duck and risotto combo with goat cheese salad is really good.

Avoid the tourist trap and stumble into this gem instead! Known for their outstanding duck, we ordered the snails on pastry and duck risotto which where equally sensational. The snails balanced a subtle profile of lightness and creaminess whilst the duck risotto was bold with crispy duck and earthy mushrooms. This bristo is all quality!

Amazing service and fantastic food. This was a really delightful restaurant to eat at to round out a day of exploring the city. It’s tucked away and has a really laid back atmosphere. The food was delectable from the first bite to the last with flavor combinations that will knock your socks off.If you’re a fan of (alcoholic) Ciders, make sure to order one for your table as you take your time with your meal. You won’t regret it.The menu changes regularly, but you will not be disappointed in the food no matter what’s being served—a lot of care clearly goes into the menu here.

Chez Temporel features a nice selection of French and Canadian classics. Food is freshly prepared and served in a pleasant and intimate space. Our server, Marge, was very helpful and friendly. The croque monsieur sandwiches were perfect, along with a cold salad. Nice selection of beers and a lovely cider. The restaurant is located on a quiet street and is perfect for a relaxed meal!

Went here for brunch and dinner.Ordered the Continental for brunch, which had a butter crossaint, a boiled egg, a small portion of fruit, and candied citrus. For the $14 it cost, this was a good meal to start the day.Came back for dinner and ordered the Terrine, which was a chicken liver pate-mousse, with crusty bread, and candied citrus peel. Although I wouldn't say this is my palette, it was still very good and tasty. I could have probably got a bit more bread, as I was smearing big portions of the mousse on it.My entree was a mushroom risotto, which I added duck to. The duck was very tender and moist. The risotto was cooked almost al-dante as it has some bits of crunchiness to it. It was very creamy, and had some good pieces of mushroom. A very good meal. The staff were very friendly and answered questions, and the atmosphere of the place is nice and off the beaten path. Definitely will return to this establishment if I come back to the city.

The best restaurant found in old Quebec City. Food, service, price were all amazing. The energy was fun, exciting, friendly and the food was so delicious. We were treated like old friends even though it was our very first visit. Already planning our return visit to this city and to this spot specifically.

My favourite place to eat in Quebec. I stayed at Auberge de la Paix next door, and the new owner operates both. I ate here so much over three days. Very friendly, relaxed staff, incredible food for a great price compared to everything else around Old Quebec. Truly a hidden gem!

Well, be prepared to wait quite a while for food if the restaurant is overextended bcs the online reservation system screwed up and/or they are understaffed bcs a chef quit and/or for them to run out of all sorts of things bcs the Pope was in town. And just set the expectation that the very nice owner/waiter might mess up your order multiple times. The owner did make a big effort to get us in and was very upfront about how long it would take to get food.Besides the fois gras being sadly overcooked, the food is good enough that I would recommend this place. We ended up with the scallop ceviche (great), seared fois gras (could have been really great!), seafood risotto and turbot filet (both delicious). This place does have a great local, off the beaten path feel. Good luck!!
