Stopped by this afternoon to get some gear ahead of the season. I was very pleased to find Sherwood T20 road hockey sticks ($22 each, much better than Canadian Tire). ABS outdoor sticks are hard to find in-store for some reason. I then got my skates sharpened by Connor at the Pro Shop. He was very helpful and explained the different types of cuts you can get based on your skating style, something I've never had done before which was cool. Lastly, I needed a new helmet and Daniel and Elena both helped me find I quality helmet and then went out of their way to attach the visor I had already to it. All 3 employees were very friendly and helpful. I'd recommend anyone in the area to go here for all your hockey needs!

I came to Toronto and PHL before COVID and it was amazing. The store was so packed full of gear and sticks (amazing selection of clearance sticks) that you could hardly walk around. And they were super helpful, almost following you around to answer any questions.Now, it's no different that Pure Hockey that we have in the states. Bare bones and staff that treat you like your annoying them.. you have to chase them down.I purchased literally a full set of gear coating over $1500 (not including skates because fortunately I had already gotten fitted for those somewhere else). You would think a guy dragging a new hockey bag full of gear would attract attention from someone. Unfortunately I was in a time crunch and had like 1 hour to buy a full set of new gear... Otherwise I would have left and gone to a different store.In addition their selection of gear is abysmal... They literally had no ASV Pro gloves in 14 or 15. They did have a big shipment of gloves waiting to be tagged and stocked....but of course the guy working on them said "hey you can come back tomorrow or maybe the day after to see if we have them on the shelves" (I kid you not). The also only carry 1 Bauer girdle (no other types or brands). They had no shells in any size except XS and XXL.... The only nylon socks in Senior size they had were neon orange...had 1 clearance senior stick for right handers (which I purchased)The next day

Salesperson was a great help. Staff was friendly. Heartland location will be our go to for hockey gear. It was worth the drive from downtown.

Changing the blades on my daughter’s figure skates was problematic. The guys in the shop worked diligently to fix it. I was surprised and very impressed with their determination to solve my problem. They were awesome!

Came here for my first ice skates. They have lots to choose from so it's good that the staff is obviously knowledgeable while helping me. Got really good skates!

Getting worse and worse. From people butchering your skates. To having no parts ( spent 1000.+ on custom skates broke a holder sorry no parts need New blades sorry no parts) pro hockey life came onto market to kill all the small sports stores and they did that, now their prices aren't good service is poor at best and they don't care go find a local sport store and support them mabye a few dollars more but worth it

Unfortunately Cdn Tire Inc has bought up - and promptly shut down - all competing hky store chains (Hky Exprts, National Sports) so Pro Hky Life is now it. (Thanks for nothing Cdn (Lack-Of) Competition Bureau!)And now they PHL prices, messiness, and service are starting to reflect the lack of real competition....

Went to the store to get new skates and was fitted by Dave. He was incredibly knowledgeable, and took the time to explain tons of nuances related to the fit and performance. Other associates were super friendly too. I would 100% recommend this store.
