I've done a lot of olympic lifting and training over the years and the coaches here are some of the best. They are passionate about what they do, and they offer more knowledge and insight into training, the body, pre-hab, etc… than any other coaches I know. I highly recommend this gym to anyone looking to get into Crossfit. The size of the gym is HUGE as well which is such a bonus in Vancouver!

I started at Crossfit Vancouver in January 2012 after declaring 2 weeks earlier that I would never do Crossfit. What I have found at Crossfit Vancouver is a community of people who are supportive, coaches who are caring and knowledgeable, and a multitude of events to help the community at large and to have fun. The classes are challenging and intense, and the people are awesome!

My friend introduced me to Crossfit Vancouver in September 2012 and I have been attending since. I knew this school had to be special because besides from watching sports, I would never have imagined my friend actually enjoy participating in any kind of physical activity. Our coach was Andy Swartz. He was/is so great. He is very knowledgeable in human physiology and sure knows his stuff. All coaches here are great actually. Unfortunately, my friend's bad back prevented him from continuing but I stuck around. Now it's July 2013.Although I have exercised and played sports all my life, I never imagined I would become this fit. I feel different, I look different, and I KNOW I'm different (for the better). If my body can handle it, I would like to come everyday. Everyone is so cool, it's a great community. But one should be careful when considering coming to this school as there are many side effects, which include: having to shop for new clothes because old clothes don't fit any more, having way too much energy throughout the day, having something to look forward to when you wake up, better sleep, better appetite, better friends, healthy body, healthy mind, and last but not least, the will to continue living healthy. Thank you Crossfit Vancouver, you have changed my life. Oh I forgot, I was forced to quit smoking because I was so motivated to do more!

Chesty aka Emile is not your average coach. He is extremely knowledgeable and can support you safely through injuries. I am a physiotherapist and he has been able to teach me new things. He is also emotionally intelligent and a great listener. He finds out your goals so he can create an individualized program that will serve you.

Are you injured or is your movement restricted? MadLab coaches work with you where you’re at. You’ll learn how to take care of yourself in group classes and adjust workouts to suit your needs. Private training sessions are extremely valuable for targeting weaknesses and building strength in a safe, progressive way. I wish I hadn’t waited so long to join! Finally making progress after years of shunning all gyms. Biggest lesson: I needed a coach! Maybe you do, too.

I had already done my fundamentals in Australia a few months before but was pleased to find they were the only gym (out of four that I looked into) that actually made me go through my paces when I joined. Even though I didn't want to pay the bit extra, I liked that they needed confidence in my skills in order to stand by me and continue coaching me. From then on, I felt totally looked after. They listened to and worked with my limitations and my coach even gave me a pre-and-post-workout regime to help me with improve. LOVE!
