Greystone Village Retirement

My grandmother has dementia and has had a fall and the people there are incredibly kind to her and patient. My experience with the nurses has been nothing but positive and she has improved since coming to greystone from bruyere. I am truly grateful.

My mom has been there since the summer. Aside from a few exceptions the staff has been amazing. So very caring and going the extra mile. The rooms are very nice and clean. She was at QCH hosted transition home in the Fairfield Inn temporarily and it was a nightmare comparatively (aside from one awesome nurse). She actually cried today when leaving for a rehab facility. Would definitely recommend for loved ones.

Omg I don't understand some of these negative reviews. We have had nothing but a great experience with staff and services greystone has provided. Some one there at all times no matter what you needed. My father enjoyed it there. Staff very polite and helpful in anyway they can. Every nursing home should be like that . I am sad that my father had to leave. For all the staff on the fourth floor I have great regards and thank you from the bottom of my heart . Keep up the great work you are doing.

Fantastic! As a PSW working in Greystone Transitional Care, I am making some people's lives better . I help seniors and others who are vulnerable realize their full potential , making them independent and believing in themselves. Bayshore HealthCare has given me the platform and the enabled environment to carry out such responsibilities towards our clients through continuous training on the job and open office management systems.

Nice facility, but no parking for visitors and badly organized I couldn’t go to friends room because there was already two visitors in the room. (There wasn’t, one had left, while I waited in the lobby). When I went to return my friend to his room, there was no sign to indicate how to get the door open on the third floor, eventually we tried the handicapped door button, which was 20 feet from the door.

After the hospital, my friend was transferred to this new building. She feels so satisfied now. I was surprised that she liked everything about this building. She can take care of herself and she can walk. She looks happy . Thank you!

Had a poor experience with maintenance staff, rude and lazy. Took them a month to do a minimal repair

My Husband has been at Grey Stone since Nov. 2020 going on his second Christmas.He is waiting to go into long term care . I added Longfields as I was told he would get in faster. That was October. Still at Grey Stone. Yes it is a lovely building and lovely rooms. But when you live eat and sleep in that very quiet room it is Very depressing . My husband is very depressed most people on his floor are bedridden. He sees no one . He calls wanting to end his life. I have to shower him if he wants one a week. Weekends you see no staff,. Except at meals hi and bye. What happened to 90 days stay . Going on 400 days.This is a horrible situation and my husband who has dementia hates it.

Not a good experience. Brand new facility but quality of care and empathy from the front desk to the staff is horrible. Establishments policies for patients needing more care is minimal. Meals served in all paper products and no proper utensils especially for patients that need special assistance in order to eat independently.Patient are in their rooms 24/7 no gathering place.There is one lady especially at the front desk with long hair very nasty and mean.COVID protocols are unrealistic. I don’t recommend this place on my worst enemy.My father has passed and after I experienced the care of another institution it has validated my concerns with our experience.

My father was here for about two months while he awaited long-term care. Staff is caring and kind but only does the basics. It's not a true long-term care home with activities and stimulation and interaction with other guests. Strict COVID protocols limit family visits. Facility is clean. Zero parking for visitors.
