GOLFTEC Kanata

GOLFTEC is not for everyone. I booked 10 lessons with them and cancelled at the halfway point! They are pricey to begin with at just over $1400 for 10 lessons + a fitting. You essentially get Ten thirty minute lessons on a simulator followed by 30 minutes of practice time which you will not be supervised on. This is all done with your 7 iron only and no other clubs! You are then sent a video of your lesson that is typically 2 minutes in length that you can review, some instructor notes and a video tip from a golf pro. You will not get any lessons on driving, hybrids, pitching or putting within these 10 lessons and the GOLFTEC site( portal) encourages you to buy more lessons. My advice is to use a local place for these other parts of the golf game. After all, you don’ t hit off Mats playing for real. Last piece of advice is to get your fitting done before the end of your lessons or you will not get a recommendation on which clubs suit your game best. I was actually sent to GOLFTEC from Golftown after I booked a fitting and my fitter said that he couldn’t recommend any clubs for me as I had to fix my swing first! I was then scheduled for a fitting around the 4th lesson and originally it was after the 2nd lesson where I had not noticeably changed my swing. I am giving 2 stars mostly because I was given a refund after voicing my disappointment of the unused 5 lessons. I was encouraged to come back if I changed my mind by my instructor Colin Pitchers but left high and dry on the fitting which was not offered after I cancelled. I think GOLFTEC is for the intermediate and above player. If you do sign up, make sure you save your Lessons to your computer or mobile device so you always have them.

Loved my experience at GolfTec and their coaches. Would recommend this to anyone who wants to learn and improve their golf swing.

I have worked closely with Scott this past season, and he quite literally transformed my swing to something so much more repeatable and sustainable. I really enjoyed the data driven approach and multi-step approach; it takes a lot of practice to get results, but well worth it. Scott was an amazing coach with a sincere interest in my progression, I know I'll keep going back to him for future refinements and corrections.
