Wallace Apartment Living

If you enjoy not being taken seriously by your rental company, smelling your neighbors cigarette smoke in a non smoking building, NO replies from your landlord and NO returned voicemails or emails from head office, unresolved complaints, unknown complaints about yourself (being parked in someone's spot who doesn't have a car, there's a shed in our assigned parking space). As well as appliance wired completely backwards, Wallace Living is the rental company for you.

Their apartments are very well managed, and they respond to tenant complaints quickly. Their offerings in Truro are also relatively cheap.

Do not rent from Wallace living if you're a non smoker who is sensitive and gets sick from second hand smoking because the rental manager lies about the lease condition of no smoking in the building. They protect the smokers and theaten to evict non smokers if we complain about the damages of cigarette smoke seeping into the building units and requesting to abide their lease agreement. I suggested they insulate around the apartment doors and nothing was done. Awful unhealthy place to rent.They lie about the lease conditions of no smoking and no pets.

If I could give my rental experience on 319B Young Street no stars, I would.Do not give this property management company your money.There are tenants who smoke in their apartments and on their balconies; don't believe Lindsay from Wallace when she tells you that they are non-smoking units. Don't bother contacting her to complain about it either because she is not interested in hearing it. Everyday during the Summer I had to close my windows because of the smell of marijuana that fills up my living room. My bathroom reeks of cigarette smoke constantly due to the smell coming through my bathroom vent.The noise that comes from adjacent units is incomprehensible. There is absolutely NO soundproofing what so ever in any of their buildings. Don't bother contacting Wallace to voice complaints because the noises will never stop nor is Wallace interested in hearing them. This property management company is more interested in supporting the bullies who live in the buildings.Overall absolute miserable and toxic living environment.

I would not recommend Wallace apartment to anyone. You can forget your security deposit - at least 80% of it. The stove and the kitchen were not clean when I got into the apartment. The apartment was handed back in clean condition - they charged a carpet cleaning fee of CAD 60, which is acceptable - I would expect the carpets to be cleaned as well (although I was told at the time of signing the contract, this is not charged to tenant when vacating). On top of that, they claimed CAD 150 for cleaning! Not acceptable at all.

Wonderful place to rent from. They always made sure things were fixed quickly and were very reasonable with the one late payment we had due to a bank error.

Apartments are small. Good for small family or couples. Rent is good- reasonable.

I am currently living in one of their facility. They are very good. I smoothly booked their apartment and moved there. Houses are also good quality. Still now no cockroaches seen. Very new though!! Still Happy!!!
