Yung Ho Soy Drink

We love this place for breakfast. Open at 8am. We stop by in our way up to whistler. We got meal combos 1, 4, and 6.

Was hoping I'd be able to taste the bean in the soymilk but I couldn't find it. And the burnt taste was more overpowering. The dough fritter and pancake was flakyand light. Would get the deep fried goodness again but not the soymilk. Owner shows less patience for those who don't understand mandarin.

to all the people giving them a low score because the soymilk has a burnt" taste. There soymilk has ALWAYS been this way. its done INTENTIONALLY.Not telling you to love it

Not sure why the reviews are so low. I love Taiwanese food and was happy to come across Yung Ho while visiting. Their shao bing with egg" was delicious! Even my mom

With the name, the hope is high but just not authentic at all. Just wrapping the pan cake with fried stick. The rice stick also have minimal stuffs in it. You can skip unless you must. Maybe just get the soy milk which is ok.

Can't find another decent Taiwanese breakfast place. Love the genuine Taiwanese breakfast. I usually get their No. 1.It is cash only PS!The owners are super friendly too! They do close Wednesdays and Thursdays.

For decades I have not gone to Yong He, after reading a news article about them possibly closing and looking for a new owner, I made my way over.I had high anticipation and craving for Taiwanese fantuan (FT). After purchasing two, I decided not to eat the delicious, amazingly fragrant rolls of rice. Why?? Read on.Hygiene, this was my utmost concern. The gentlemen accepted my cash and in return I pocketed $5.50 in change. Same gent who handles cash is also on stationed at the FT station. He proceeded to make the food without washing/sanitizing his hands or gloves. I could see over the partially blocked area where he was preparing my FTs and noticed his hands are touching the ingredients.What made this experience worse was the $5 bill was handed to me still folded (and was has seen many wallets).I did not make a scene or question his hygiene. I waited 20mins for his food and left feeling empty. Others have been eating out of the same cash handing, FT preparing hands for years.Decided to forgo my hard earned $14.50 and binned the food for compost.

Soy milk is over cooked and there is a burned taste. And the onion egg is too salty. It has ruined my breakfast and mood.

With all the negative reviews on about this place. Let me share my experience. I arrived at 8 am when they were just opened. The uncle at the counter was not rude, he is a man with few words and get straight to the point.I ordered combo 4 with an added pork pastry.The food was delicious and is almost comparable to the ones I had while I was in Taipei. (See my review of Yong He in Taipei)While I did taste a slight hint of burnt after taste with the soy. It was still acceptable to me.I also ordered some take out and because there is no plastic bag offered in Richmond, the uncle put my food in a paper bag at no extra cost.

We are extremely disappointed with the food. Their claim of being an authentic Taiwanese breakfast from Yong He can’t be further from the truth.The food was greasy and hastily slapped together. The portion was pathetically small. We certainly will not ever go back there again.
