Pine View Golf Course

Live nearby and play here often because of the convenience. I’m getting a membership this year, but not at Pine View, for the same reasons you’ll see in other sub-optimal comments.I’ve always been happy with the course conditions. East Ottawa is all clay, so rain stays on top and the course suffers on wet days, but I know to expect that and it’s not a maintenance issue.But the pace of play is egregiously slow. Plan for a 5 hour round on the Championship, and plan 3.5-4 hours for the Executive (which defeats the purpose of it being an executive). Tee times are stacked to tightly, and made worse by terrible course management from the Marshalls.+4 stars for the course condition and design.-1 star for a consistently terrible pace of play.-1 star in response to something I will never respect; management personnel replying to negative reviews Karen-style (arrogant, derogatory, and oblivious). Reading the owner’s replies to comments here has finalized my decision to get a membership elsewhere.

I have logged more than 150 rounds here. Member for 2 seasons.Overall: Pine View is a superb track whose appealing layout and staff make for an enjoyable golf experienceHighlights1) 36 holes - you never get bored, and tee-times are plentiful2) Staff - they are fantastic!!!3) Greens - after they get sanded/aerated in early summer, they're solid4) Layout - large fairways with well-guarded greens ensures that the course is a pleasure to play, regardless of skill-level.Needs work1) Fairways - amongst the lot of them there are a significant number of little muddy pits, drainage troughs, and areas w/o grass.2) Tee boxes - a handful of them are noticeably uneven and/or lack the flat, fairway-like lie you would expect from a tee-box.Personal Peeves1) Bunkers - I have never played a course that sets up their bunkers like Pine View. Instead of the entire bunker being smooth, or having a raked interior with smooth edges (aussie style), many of the bunkers here have a smooth interior with raked edges. As a result, bunker-bound shots get stuck near the bunker lips with a noticeably high frequency. I think it is unnecessarily punitive.2) Driving range - mats are the only thing you can hit off of, and that's just a thumbs down in my books.

They have several marshals working at any given time and yet rounds still take over 5 hours and the price has risen every year for the past 5 years. I will play just about any other course over pineview. The course quality is always ground under repair" or a swamp

In my opinion, one of the best courses in Ottawa. Golf for all" within the city of Ottawa proper. The course is beautifully maintained with super friendly staff all on Pristine NCC land.Thank you Pineview!"

Played the very walkable 18 hole Executive Course today. The fairways and greens were in good condition. The tee boxes need some work still and the ground is tough. Overall, a very fun afternoon. Took approximately 3.5 hours to complete the round walking today.

We have been playing indoor golf at Pineview on a regular basis. Peter and the girls who work there are nothing short of fantastic! You can expect reasonable pricing, prompt friendly service and an overall positive experience. Thank you for providing such a welcoming and fun environment.

Well let me begin by saying this was May. We had a time for 11:30ish. There was a frost delay. Range was closed. So pushed back 40-45mins. Not a big deal. But then groups were backed up and on top of eachother because they didn’t leave enough time between tee times. Then we found out later after almost 4 hrs for 12 holes that they would be asking us to leave so their mens league could have a shotgun start at 3pm. So they knew before we tee’d off that we wouldn’t have time to finish but had no issues charging us for 18. Fairways are hard and the tee boxes are dirt. Spend your money somewhere else. Not a good way to treat green fee payers.

Great value for your money. New owners constantly making improvements on the course. 36 holes of Golf with easy access off the 417 hwy.

Course is very well maintained. Option of a full round or a shorter executive course with mostly par 3s and 4s. Price point is good compared to many other courses.

Being it my first time at this course, the experience was awesome... from the customer service extended during booking to the obvious care taken in the maintenance of the course. I played the Executive course both Saturday and Sunday, and even though the holes were all Par 3 and 4, they were all challenging. I would definitely recommend it to anyone passing through Ottawa.
