It is a great old style hardware store...if you need a rare but or a difficult bolt ...McKims is the place to go... With knowledgable staff as well. The saying in town is -- If McKims doesn't have it ... You don't need it.

This has got to be one of the oldest hardware stores in the area. Little has changed over the decades and it has that old town hardware store feel. Organization leaves something to be desired but the staff seem to know where everything is so that's helpful LOL. Most of the new stores are larger and laid out more like a traditional retail outlet but I kind of miss the the ambience and smells of a classic hardware store and I'm glad this place is around and unaltered.

I bought some stuff there last week and it was on sale. Except at the cash register! I was charged full price for everything. That is disrespectful and dishonest. I am new to town so they preyed on my naivety and general low self esteem.Disgusting! That is not customer service. That is survival of the fittest. I want to give zero stars.
