It was a delight to have Hugh and Alex, his second shooter, capture our wedding day. We had been looking through photos taken at our venue and we found ourselves drawn over and over to certain photos - turns out they were all Hugh's, so we knew we had to reach out. Hugh put us at ease right from our first phone call and was a calm and reassuring presence on our wedding day. He captured incredible photos- exactly how we hoped our wedding photos might look. He clearly is a master of his craft and has a unique eye for capturing great moments. On top of being a great photographer, Hugh was great to work with - professional, organized and responsive. Cannot recommend Hugh enough !

Hugh is without a doubt one of the most wonderful, genuine, and talented humans I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. His work speaks for itself as he is one of the best photographers in the city, but he was also such a joy to have around on our wedding day. I can’t thank Hugh enough for his professionalism and overall sense of calm that he brought on our big day. If you are considering Hugh, don’t hesitate and book him before someone else does.

Hugh was perfect in every way. The pictures he captured of our wedding were exactly what we wanted – intimate, casual, warm and elegant – but he also went so much further to make the experience special. He set up a personal meeting a month before the day to figure out exactly what we wanted. He was incredibly flexible about location and timing. He accommodated all our requests, and most of all, he was kind, patient and fun, feeling less like a photographer and more like a welcomed guest at our small wedding in the woods. I can't even believe that I forgot to write a review for Hugh! Ah, the post-wedding to-do list. Am I right? We got married out west on Vancouver Island, but wanted some photos at home with the hounds (obviously). I'm so glad we set up some photos with Hugh. He was by far one of my favorite parts of the wedding, and he wasn't even there! He's laid back, extremely talented, and exactly what we needed to get some amazing photos. He was also really patient, which is important when dealing with bored dogs that have to pose for pictures instead of getting to hike. The outtakes were so much fun to see, too. He had some really gorgeous places in mind to shoot in and around Kawartha Highlands, and got a large number of photos in our two hour shoot. He's by far my second favorite photographer in the area (only because my husband has to be my first).

Our experience with Hugh (for our engagement photos) was fabulous from start to finish! He was super laid back and fun while also being a true professional. He didn’t rush.. taking his time to get the perfects shots, worked around our insecurities, and made us feel super comfortable. He delivered a sneak peak the next day, and we had an impeccable album of photos in no time! They were STUNNING (this coming from someone who “hates” most photos of herself)! Hire him! You won’t regret the investment!

Hugh photographed a small backyard wedding for us, and made serious magic. The images we have from this day will be nourishing our hearts for a lifetime - so many tender moments with friends and family, captured beautifully.

Hugh is exceptional and I highly recommend working with him. For our wedding, from start to finish he was responsive and really willing to collaborate on what would create an outstanding result. I attribute the strength of his photography to the quality of his character, as he seamlessly integrated himself into our wedding to capture candid moments and brought the best out of those he was around on the day! Those that have seen our wedding photographs have been thoroughly impressed, with one remarking that they had magazine level quality (I agree!). Working with Hugh for our wedding was an absolute pleasure! He has the amazing ability to make even the most camera shy couples feel comfortable and relaxed. Hugh did the photos for our wedding. I can honestly say it was one of the many highlights of the day, and was a ton of fun working with his team to get photos with our families, bridesmaids and groomsmen.
