They were Not any cheaper in fact they wanted to charge for delivery not so with Sleep Country (although it must have been built into the price) even so they were 10 percent cheaper. Just bought a two part king-size box spring set and I did challenge the price and got a 100 dollar lower price. Try it as I firmly believe they have padded the prices so they can offer in-store discounts. Delivery was free the following following day, now that's good service.

We recently made the decision to replace our 20+ year old mattress with a new one and went to the Sleep Country outlet in Kerrisdale. Our first visit provided us with much useful information as to what was available, thanks to a very helpful (and patient!) clerk. A return visit some time later (with a different, but equally pleasant and knowledgeable clerk) resulted in our making a decision to purchase a particular mattress - and we were reassured that we had 3 months to made an exchange, in case the product was found not suitable.As is turned out, the mattress we chose was not optimal - my wife (who has back problems) found it was not firm enough. We requested an exchange and an appointment was arranged. The exchange" proceeded smoothly

Knowledgeable sales staff. Delivery was very efficient with no surprises.Love the new mattress. Prices quite high on the best mattresses... don’t forget to negotiate as they can after do much better than the price they have listed.

The Kerrisdale location was our first stop when shopping for a new mattress. The salesperson, Ricky, pressured us into putting a few hundred dollar deposit down on a mattress that he said was completely refundable. What he didn’t say was that the store does not answer the phone, respond to messages, or acknowledge cancellation requests. I phoned about a dozen times in two week period, left three voice messages, and even spoke briefly with someone in the store. None of this led to my deposit being returned. Ricky had completely disappeared. After a month, I was forced to phone Sleep Country Canada’s head office and place a complaint. Only after that did I receive a phone call from Ricky saying that my depositwould be returned.

We had a great experience with this store in particular with Adey. Fantastic customer service. She made us feel welcomed and is very knowledgeable about the products there. We will be back in the near future and will recommend her and the Kerrisdale store.

In 2016, when I started my first year at UBC, I went to Sleep Country's branch in Kerrisdale to buy furniture for my new flat. I noticed a female staff member in her mid-30s speaking Chinese to Chinese customers. A few minutes later, she approached me and asked if I spoke Chinese. When she found out that I wasn't a native speaker of either English or Chinese, she suddenly became condescending towards me, even though all I said was that I was looking for furniture. She implied that Sleep Country was only for wealthy customers and that I wasn't good enough to buy anything there. I was shocked and hurt by her racism and rudeness. She called a male staff member to help me and then left. This experience was traumatic for me and I can't forget it. I still can't go to Sleep Country. Even though I don't know if this staff member will ever read my review, I want to tell her that she was the worst retail staff I have ever encountered, and I will always remember her like that.

I found their mattress prices to be way-high compared to the competition. Many were that very soft memory foam, which I don't like because it wraps around my body like an insulating blanket and keeps me too hot on warm summer nights. I got the hard sell routine right away – 'special price for you this week only . . .'

Adey is extremely knowledgeable and helpful and assisted us immensely with our mattress purchase. Ask for her specifically! Best Sleep Country location because of Adey. Do not go anywhere else!

I'd like to say a big Thank You to Ricky Leung (store manager) and Adey Merawi. My mattress bag was taken away by the delivery people so I came to the store for another one. The store manager of Broadway was really bad and not trying to help at all. However, when I visited the Kerrisdale branch, Ricky was super supportive and figured ways to help me out. Adey was also quite helpful when I came to pick up the bag. It is the Kerrisdale branch's luck to have Ricky and Adey working there.I will not hesitate to refer more of my friends to the Kerrisdale branch! Besides, do not try the West Broadway branch if you do not want bad experiences!
