Dr. Balbinder Gill

Dr. Gill is a wonderful doctor and was great with my daughter;however, he never calls when he says he will and his assistant is absolutely incompetent. She is completely unhelpful and does not at all try to fix her errors.

Dr. Gill is a good doctor but his receptionist at Richmond is horrible. She is very rude and has no clue how to do office works. She always sends our prescription to wrong pharmacy and never own her mistake yet she responds with harsh comments. He needs to seriously look after his staff.

Dr Gill is an excellent Doctor. He has seen all 3 of my children at various stages of their lives. He is punctual, knowledgeable, and kind. He listens attentively to our concerns and spends time to answer all of our questions. My youngest daughter is very fearful of most medical professionals but Dr. Gill won her over during their first encounter. She had toxic synovitis in her hip at 18 months which made walking difficult and painful. The emergency room doctor couldn't figure out what was wrong but Dr Gill diagnosed her immediately. He reassured my husband and I and then entertained my daughter with his stethoscope, pen, and, light. Dr Gill had her smiling and laughing when she was so sick. My older two children like Dr Gill because he talks to them, not at them. I am grateful to have such a wonderful care provider for my children.

My child was referred to Dr B Gill and after 6 weeks without even an initial phone call to us we went back for a new referral to another doctor. I do not recommend this doctor. 0 stars

Amazing doctor. He is very patient and kind and truly listens unlike many other doctors I encountered when I began to realize something was different with my daughter. He was the only person to support me and my concerns and encouraged me to follow my gut. I am forever grateful for that as it got my daughter diagnosed and given help much sooner. He always fits her in last minute if she needs to be seen and I appreciate that! The staff isn't always that on it or easy to communicate with but I find that at many offices however he himself is still an amazing doctor. He was recommended to me and I definitely recommend him as well!

Extremely incompetent staff. It's now 6 weeks after my daughter had her appointment with Dr. Gill and the specialist he refered her to still doesn't have the proper information!!! They initially forgot to send it, then didn't know where to send it, then sent all the wrong details. I've never had to do so many follow ups in my life. I missed two cancellation appointments because when they finally got the referral from Dr. Gill's office it had the wrong phone number, wrong care card number and wrong address, so the specialist didn't know how to contact me. They said they tried contacting Dr. Gill's office but didn't hear back until 2 days later!!! Meanwhile, my child is suffering and they don't seem to care.

I am really surprised by the negative reviews. My experience with both Dr. Gill and his staff (in particular Barb) was fantastic. Barb was extremely helpful, easy to talk to and accommodating. Dr. Gill came as a complete surprise, it is rare to come across a doctor that really listens, is patient, appropriately conservative and truly tries to understand the issues. He not only welcomes input from parent and child, he prompts and encourages it. He gives recommendations with the best interest of your child in mind - he’s not going to take the easy route and prescribe meds just to get you out of his office. No arrogance/condescension - he has a very collaborative approach when assessing the situation. Count yourself lucky if you have him as your child’s specialist.

Mavie at Dr. Gill's office is wonderful, and was extremely helpful assisting me with some recent difficulties stemming from our extended health provider and some prescriptions they didn't want to pay for. Thank you Mavie!

Dr.Gill is both caring and professional.He listens with care and is always thorough when informing or giving advice.He took the time to explain what was needed in helping my son,and my son is now happier than he has ever been. I ABSOLUTELY appreciate his opinion and his compassion towards children.He is a wonderful pediatrician. I would recommend him to anyone who wants a professional but genuine person.

Zero stars. My son needed to be referred waited 10 months to receive a call from the specialist, call never came. Then i called Dr. Gill's office and she said they didnt send it out yet!! Its been 10 months!Then i took my younger son there because i thought maybe it was just a bad experience and it will be better this time. Nope not better. Called the office two weeks after the appointment to ask if they sent the referral and she said no not yet probably in a few weeks!! FEW WEEKS to fax a referral! I understand she is busy but thats what a receptionist does. Its fast paced work.The receptionist really needs to take her job more seriously.Dr. Gill on the other hand is nice and takes his time but i do think he has a habit to just look for development issues instead of just focusing on the problem that you went there for.
