Pie Junkie

I bought a key lime pie yesterday for a friend’s birthday for the first time. I heard about the shop from my cousin who lives at the Westman Village. The filling were good but the crusts was hard as a rock that we didn’t even get to eat it. For the price of the pie I would expect the crust to be better.***UPDATE***After I spoke with the manager, she was very polite and understood my concern. She offered me a replacement pie which I picked up and received, just this past weekend (Saturday, October 9th). She even gave me a chocolate mocha pie I wanted. Took the pies at a Thanksgiving dinner and everyone loved it! The crusts were flaky and delicious. Thank you so much for giving me a chance to taste your pies again. I will for sure come back now and will be happy to let my family and friends know how great your customer service is and how delicious your pies are.

I’ve been happy every time I’ve come to this location. We had 4 pies to go, two to stay and enjoy. The gentleman inside, came outside, and offered us water, as it was a hot day. We will come back.

It’s not bad, but they’ve been out of the key lime pie every time I go. And then I end up getting other pies and have been disappointed by it every time. So it’s a bit sad, I absolutely love the Kensington location though.

Got the Lemon Meringue pie and was very disappointed. $28 for a pie is crazy but I love Lemon Meringue. The crust was hard and chewy. Needed a very sharp knife to cut it. Pie crust should be light and easily cut with the side of a fork. The Meringue was more like runny marshmallow cream. Meringue should be light and stand tall. The lemon filling was extremely tart. 3/4 of the pie was tossed.

Exquisite and beautiful pies, they are a bit expensive, but also quite unique! We all love them at home

I had a bad experience at this location in the past but decided to try it again this Christmas. I was very pleased with their pie, it was the best one I'd ever had from a pie junkie, and the whole family agreed. We have been back several times this year since, and it has always been amazing! Flaky crusts and fantastic fillings.

After my review 2 days ago,the owner was so prompt to reply with my complaint.I came back to the shop to pick up the gift cert that Nancy the owner promised me.As soon i walked inside, the saleslady and Michelle were so nice to greet me and explained every product that i asked.I chose to buy and try the pies but instead of letting me pay,she gave it to me for free and the gift certificate..I am so glad to experience this because i am also a small business owner myself and i know how important customer service.I will definitely give their products a chance and still refer to peeps i know here in Calgary.I don’t live here but next time i visit i will come back again.Thank you to the 2 ladies and also to Nancy the owner,you value your customers.Original post:Was visiting in the area and first time on this bakery coz i want to buy for a friend.I asked some infos about pies that they sell and the lady who served me didn’t liked it at all, i can see in the reaction of her face.I was very dissapointed.Poor customer service!!

Went to Pie Junkie in Mahogany for our favourite pie (banana toffee) for our Easter celebration diner. Decided to try the Scallop Potato/broccoli/cheese pie for breakfast.Y’all…… game changer!! Absolutely delicious and way easier than making a wife saver myself.PS: the banana pie was 10/10 as always

I came to visit the Pie Junkie shop for the first time today. My friends Introduced me to it. I purchased the chicken pot pie, lamb pie, butter chicken pie, and Aussie beef pie. Lemme tell you!!….when I say, that these were some of the most delicious, scrumptious, well crafted pies that I have ever tried...I sincerely mean it!! The lady running the shop was super nice and friendly! (My friend is a regular there, because of the delicious pies and amazing costumer service!) Helped me select my pies, based on who I was purchasing the pie for. (I got pies for the whole family) My younger brother, who is a picky eater, ate some of the Aussie beef pie. And he kept most of it for later “to savour the experience of eating it. It’s too delicious..” (that’s the way he phrased it to me. :)) ) Mind you, he never does that with food. He either eats it, or not. My mother (who bakes really amazing food, almost everyday.) said that it was really good. She nodded her head in an impressed way as she was eating the pie (I bought her the lamb pie). Needless to say!! Consider me a repeat costumer, because this was one of the most culinarily pleasing experiences that I had the pleasure to have. (I had the butter chicken pie) Thank you for your pies and amazing craftsmanship of the recipes!! :)))

Today was the first time I was here and was really looking forward to it, but was a little disappointed. I ordered two pumpkin brownies, a peanut butter cookie and an apple turnover. The peanut butter cookie was good, not great, I haven't tried the apple turnover but I will tomorrow.The disappointment was the brownies and the way they were packed. After supper we opened the bag to discover they were joined together, they probably should have been packed with some wax paper or something separating them but the chocolate got all over the bag and they were pressed together. It just didn't look very presentable.The pies in the display did look delicious, maybe one day I will try the peanut butter pie. The savoury pies all sounded and looked good, maybe one day. I love local small businesses but my first experience here wasn't the best, too bad.
