Kumon Math and Reading Centre of Richmond Hill-Bathurst&Major Mackenzie

My daughters, ages 5 & 7 have been coming to this Kumon location since it opened in Oct 2021. My elder daughter's math skills have improved and she has no trouble with math at school now. The foundation she's established means she can move on to more critical thinking skills. The biggest improvement though is in my younger daughter's reading skills. Since the pandemic and online learning for a year, I was worried about her struggling when she starts grade school. Kumon has definitely helped her improve her phonic sounds and letter combinations. She is in SK and is now able to read basic sentences with ease.Marcellus and his team are patient, kind and caring to all their students. This creates a wonderful and positive environment for our daughters. Marcellus also provides individual attention to all his students. He encourages us to come to the center more often to help our daughters. There also have been multiple occasions where he stayed longer with them to help them through more difficult worksheets. The center is clean, well organized and well run. We absolutely enjoy having our daughters at this center and would highly recommend it to other parents!

My two kids have been coming to this Kumon location for 3 months, and they have improved a lot in math and reading. Marcellus and his term are kind and patient. after 3 months of learning at this centre, My kids's public school teachers were amazed their progress. I will recommend this centre to my friends!

Since first enrolling my daughter at Kumon, I have only had good experiences with Marcellus and his staff. They are professional and competent at their jobs and they really care about the kids. They put a lot of effort into encouraging the students, checking in on their progress, and even making sure they are safely picked up after class. Also, my daughter has progressed significantly in math skills and it's all due to the work being done at Kumon.

My son started the Kumon numbers program he was not able to identify numbers higher than 12. Within 2 months he has been able to identify and count to the number 100. He started the reading program later on and when he started he was at a L3 reading and he is now at a L5. Not only has my son progressed he also looks forward to doing his workbooks everyday where I do not need to remind him, he will ask to complete them. The teachers are warm and patient - relaxing any nerves my son or I had. I highly recommend this location!

We did not spend much time with Kumon yet, But one thing I noticed from my child before started Kumon and now he is developing his own time plan for his school tests/assignments. The daily practice of Kumon helped him to sit on the desk and do his work. So far I am happy with my decision to sending my son to Kumon. :)Also, very supportive teachers and great environment as well.
