Really nice library however don’t come if you are looking to study in a quiet space. i booked a study room yesterday thinking i’d be able to complete a final university exam without any big distractions. The opposite happened. the girls in the room in front of me were so loud (louder than it should be in a typical library) and the brown librarian with wavy hair and glasses did nothing.

I have been using public libraries, and many of them, for decades. The Oak Ridges branch is by far the worst one I have visited or attempted to use. Architecture is given complete prominence, to the detriment of what a library is supposed to provide, namely, information and helpful staff. It took them at least two years to put up labels at the ends of bookshelves. This meant a user was left on their own to try to find anything. The vast stairway that links the two floors is a complete waste of space. It is also unsafe. The architect who was chosen clearly had nothing but personal integrity in mind when imagining this space. The normal function of a library was given precious little thought. It's so sad.

I'm so happy that this library is finished! I went there for the first time and it is beautiful - there's lots of natural light with big windows. There are lots of quiet places for people to do work and read. There are booths on the top floor that make cool quiet group work areas for people who come with friends. :)

Newly opened library (Nov-2019). Not as big as the one in Major mackenzie but alot better than the one it replaced. Limited quite study space and afew study rooms. Not so great book collection. Very few restrooms. Lots of natural light.

This is a relatively new library with modern and bright architectural design. The library has two floors; the first floor has an information desk, kids area, and several seating areas for studying and reading. The second floor has mainly non-fictional books.

In my subjective judgement, this recently-built library is one of the best ones in Richmond Hill and area. The place is perfect for people who need a quiet place to read and write. Free access to the internet is a golden opportunity to search and study online. The staff are on their best behaviour and always check people if they wear a face mask or not. The books here are brand new although the selction might be a minor problem according to some people. This place is highly recommended.

What a beautiful library. A big shout out to the amazing staff at the library. They are the best. If you need a book, or have a question, they listen to you very patiently and help you with whatever you need. The kids events at the library are very well planned and execution is flawless. I have been to the library on several occasions and every time the experience has been the same. This place is a blessing to the Oak ridges community.

Beautiful bright & clean building with plenty parking outside. Very helpful and friendly staff. We have the librarian - Flora who helped to set up a new library card for my daughter this afternoon. She was very detailed oriented and welcoming. We are very thankful to have this facility in our Oak Ridges neighborhood. Will definitely visit again soon.

2022 December 4★A very clean and airy library. Very bright and modern feel the moment you walk in. Everything appears organized. The electronic large touch screen allows for easy book searching. Tablets are available to borrow and use. There's a maker room and a 3D printer that can be used. Study rooms for those who need it. Though everything is limited as this library isn't super big. On the weekends, you'll sure to find this library packed with people studying, reading or doing homework. All the chairs and space was accounted for or quickly taken. Two floors:FIRST FLOOR-WELCOME DESK-WASHROOMS-CHILDREN'S/TWEEN'S AREA-ELEVATOR-MEETING ROOMSSECOND FLOOR-ADULT/ TEEN AREA-A COMPUTER ROOM-INFORMATION desk-MAKER SPACE-STUDY ROOMSSuggest you come early to get a space during busy times.Free parking.Located beside a public school.
