Legacy Montessori Academy

We had recently moved into the Legacy area and were looking for a daycare for our daughter. This one was the closest to our home so we decided to inquire. This was in July of '22 and we were told that no spots were available for the year and the earliest they could do was July of next year, 2023. However, if something opened up earlier they would let us know. We filled in our application under the impression that our spot was confirmed for July of '23. Fast forward to December, my wife reached out to them asking if there were any spots had opened up for earlier, and she was told spots were available for July and they would need a 150 dollar deposit. My wife and daughter were both sick and Calgary was under a massive cold snap that time. A couple of weeks later when she asked about dropping off the cheque, she was told the spot was given to some other family as we had missed our 'deadline'. This so called deadline was never communicated to us, and if this indeed existed, why did they only inform us when my wife reached out to them (for an earlier spot, not July which we thought was confirmed) and why didn't they ask for it when we filled in our application? When we pointed this out, we received a snide response from the owner saying they couldn't be 'chasing' after parents since they were so busy. All this over a 150 dollar registration fee.I have to say that the communication from this place, or the lack thereof, leaves much to be desired. We've dealt with a number of larger more professionally run daycares and they all had time for the parents and explained everything clearly. If this is how they deal with parents, I shudder to think how they'll deal with kids. I'm glad that we didn't put our child in this daycare.

We have been attending since they opened and both my kids love going so much we could not be happier with LMA we truly feel apart of the family.

I've been working at Legacy Montessori Academy for a while, and I definitely can say that doesn't compare absolutely with my priovious daycares were I've worked!I really enjoy working here, it's giving me satisfaction, and the best part of being around kids all day is watching them learn, grow, and develop.The teachers are amazing, lovely people opening to communication and the owner are incredibly approachable, kind, professional, always goes above and beyond to ensure safety, comfort, and satisfaction, etc. Very pleasant environment, clean, colorful, also the room's are big and bright.Moreover they know all the children by name (also parent's names)!The kids are fed fresh, healthy snacks with a ton of variety...I would say that the most regarding job is one where you get to make a difference, and working in this amazing daycare we all making a difference in the life's of young children every time we head to work.To be honest, I'm very glad to be part of this wonderful team!!!

Our son has been at LMA for nearly 4 years, and it has been so great for him. Our young daughter (under two) has joined recently, and is absolutely loving going every day! We’re so grateful knowing our children are safe and happy during the day. Truly the teachers are like none other - our children come home and sing to us in Spanish or French, and our oldest tells us wonderful unique facts he’s learnt based on their weekly topics. We are so grateful for Legacy Montessori!

Our child has been enrolled at Legacy since Sept 2022. The staff have all been so wonderful, I am so grateful we found this daycare! Our daughter enjoys going everyday and we love seeing all of the drawings, crafts, and new knowledge she brings home! Everyone is so friendly when we do drop off and pick ups and we always feel like are child is being so well cared for!

The staff are incredible, they're curriculum is outstanding. My daughter loves her teachers and always comes home happy. It was hard for me to leave my little baby but this place eased my mind. They are wonderful people who love what they do and most importantly love the children that attend. Highly recommend.

This daycare is amazing. My daughter loves going and does so well. They are very good about her dietary restrictions. They have been amazing during her potty training process and have helped so much. There could not be a better daycare to go to. She loves it. learns so much. And every teacher is just so amazing. Our son will for sure be going here too.

Amazing learning environment, tons of fun activities. I love the excellent communication between teachers and parents. Kids are treating with love. Dignity and respect.
