On my recent search to buy a house as an investment I had the occasion to use the services of Edgewater Home Inspections ontwo properties. I found the subsequent reports to be professional, precise and practical. I was particularly impressed by Trevor's knowledge and the efficient manner in conducting the inspection and the walk through follow up to explain the findings and suggested remedies and estimated costs.I have no hesitation in recommending Edgewater Home Inspections as the go to service when purchasing a residential property.

I can not responsibly recommend Edgewater to any home buyer. We hired Trevor for a home inspection and asked him to be specifically thorough about mold. He discouraged us from contacting a mold inspector and explained that two bathroom leaks he found would only be $2 fixes (that was very misleading). His report completely left a room out which had very damaged drywall in the ceiling indicative of several long term bathroom leaks that we eventually learned was one of the major sources of the high levels of toxic mold that forced us out of our new home within a month of moving in. After a year of ripping the house apart, over $19000 in plumbing bills alone, and 3 mold remediations, I can not stress enough the importance of a good home inspector who is willing to advocate for you and be thorough and responsive. I am sorry to say Trevor is not that and we very much regret trusting him with our purchase.
