Horseshoe J Dude Ranch - Summer Camps, Lessons, Public trail riding

Just wow!That was exactly what we were looking for! My partner & I were celebrating his Birthday this weekend. For the last year we’d been talking about trail riding... finally, last weekend we took our opportunity too do just that at our local ‘Horseshoe J Dude Ranch’ near Port Stanley. I rode Zeus & Justin had Chester both quirky & amazing animals to work with. The staff was kind, well informed and positive which for me is so important & I loved the local/family vibe and the trail itself was beautiful, 10/10 will be going back. We had so much fun. Thank you folks for an awesome first experience back at it.

An unforgettable and unique experience for myself and my kids here. We have never been around or ridden horses. We got the basic instructions, overcame some nervousness and had a great safe time. What made it even more special was to ride in nature through the rolling fields and forests of the property on a beautiful day. Our guide was very nice and friendly and selected the perfect horses for each of us to ride. I learned so much about horses from her in our hour ride. Nothing like this exists where we are from. A really unique experience. It was the highlight of our trip to Canada.

Wonderful experience for my daughter. The horses are all lovely and well tempered and the people are friendly and take great care of the kids. Highly recommended!!

It was a really fun and relaxing ride with the horses. The trail is nice especially along the woods. We saw a couple of deers as well. The horses are well trained and the people there are good trainers too. Very welcoming and the they are very friendly. Definitely worth the price.

We were at the ranch for a summer family camp. It was an amazing experience. Sue and her team are wonderful hosts, very relaxed and organized at the same time. We slept in a wagon and absolutely loved the experience. The horse trail rides, communication with horses, the tractor ride at sunset, the food, the fire and the evening concert organized by kids with the help of a volunteer girl (amazing leader) were fantastic!We have returned for trail rides with a bigger family in the fall. My teen is looking forward for a summer camp next year.Thank you!

It was great. Horse was very obedient. We saw two fawns and the mothers.

My Granddaughter and I spent 2 glorious hours and had the times of our lives.....Sue and her staff could not have been more welcoming and friendly. From the moment we arrived, it was like we were part of their crew.We got to Brush the horses prior to our ride. The Trails and open areas were far beyond my expectations. Through the wooded areas and up and down some winding trails, the ride had everything you could imagine.We saw plenty of Deer and a couple of new born fawns were pointed out to us by our guides.The horses were friendly, comfortable and guided us through the trails with ease.I would highly recommend this as a fun activity for kids and adults of all ages.I am looking forward to our next visit and the many more after that.

Great staff, very kind & helpful. Trail was beautiful! Love every second of it! During the trail we even saw a deer in the wood as we passed through the trails!
