Dr. S. Dharmalingam

I was referred to Dr. Dharmalingam for my thyroid cancer radiation and further follow-up of cancer. Initially, he was a good doctor, ensuring prompt radiation treatment, explaining questions I had, calling soon after to let me know scan results. However, after I was considered NED (no evidence of disease), he did one neck scan at 6 months post NED, and then at our next appt said he WOULDN'T do a neck ultrasound until 5 years had passed because I am young and healthy!" WTFFFF ! I had done much research on thyroid cancer and what good follow-up treatment of thyroid cancer entailed so I knew that included at the minimum a yearly neck scan for 5 yrs; since I saw Dr. Dharmalingam only twice a year

I have been going to this doctor and never he was on time. I have been asking for first appointment for the day to avoid excuses that other patients took longer tine etc. I had a appointment yesterday at 8:45 AM. I reached there at 8:38 AM as usual. But I waited until 9:35 AM before I was called in. Instead of offering any apology for being so late, he was making me if I can not afford to wait that long I should look for another doctor. His tone was unapologetic and seemed like I was wrong by asking the receptionist about why it is taking too long.I understand the culture of these professionals, who are paid very handsomely for amount of time they spend per client. I am not sure about other patients/ clients of this doctor but if it a scheduled appointment, I can afford to waste 5-10 minutes of my time for their incompetence or deliberate disregard of everyone's time. He is in clinic not attending in an emergency ward where you cannot intelligently estimate the time: how could a scheduled appointment could go 45 minutes overtime for a third patient/client in the morning. The fact is that even the so called specialist overbook their clients/patients to take advantage of the fact that most of their patients/clients do not object to their total disregard of everyone's time. It is not hard to learn time management skills especially with amount of experience he might have running his clinic. His defense that he was the other patient is not a strong defense when you are making third person in the queue to wait 45 minutes. Not sure how one scheduled appointment could take 60 minutes: mind you he has never spent more than 12 minutes on average for any of my appointments. It a shame when professionals like these behave like a cheap street corner vendor in a third world country.

No one pickup call if you need urgent they will never respond

He is no-serious with their patients, unprofessional.He is been us with almost an year & not able to control thyroid.

Doctor Dharma is nice and professional. I give him five star ⭐️.but the person in the reception area or responsible for answering phone calls,is very unprofessional.they never answer ur calls….. so above stars for them.

Dr. D doesn’t even deserve a one star. He is very unprofessional and always running late, either for in-person or telephone appointments. Imagine waiting 45 minutes to an hour just for him to say he was busy on the weekend even though your appointment is on a Monday. Then to see him for 5 minutes. He doesn’t listen to complaints at all about your medication and tries to rush you out of his office with a subscription in hand. It’s the same waiting period for a telephone appointment. He is only in this profession for the money and does not the care for his patients.Another issue is you can’t reach his office. You can call till you are blue in the face, the line is always busy. Don’t waste your time here. Look for another competent and compassionate doctor who genuinely cares about your health. Your health matters.

Every day I wonder how this doctor still has a job.. At least update your patients as to what is going on. If competence is an issue Doc, GET THE HELP YOU NEED. People do not have the time to be waiting months to years for so called blood tests" - Elahi's Patient"
